From someone who actually used to live in Lahaina. ...

My sister was a server at this place so I got to try many of their different dishes and of course any seafood is highly recommended!

The view is awesome specially if you sit by the open view tables along the side and you get the beautiful ocean view, and of course I would say try to be seated before sunset ;) as most of you know Hawaii is infamous for their beautiful sunsets!

Front Grill is a good spot to dine, specially if you're just getting off a cruise ship and you want some friendly staff and looknig for a quick bite and some drinks! It's no 5 star restaurant, so don't expect top of the line gourmet food!

It's a definite kick-back place, the bartenders are friendly and the food is good! Try the Mai-Tai's there, they will put a huge smile on your face =)

Location was great and service was good... But the food lacked flavor. Everything was very "blah" and I was not impressed. My boyfriend and I ordered Chicken Terriyaki and Hawaiian Serloin Steak (there was nothing hawaiian about it!)   T. Chicken was just a slab of chicken breast lightly grilled with terriyaki sauce poured all over it (it was a little much) and pilaf rice. That's it. The steak was dry with nothing to it... Oh and a scoop of mashed potatoes. I Should've walked back there and cooked it myself. Would I ever return? Not for food... Maybe a beer.

I liked it...we were just walking down Front Street and saw a sign for their happy hour so we walked right on upstairs to enjoy!  Our server was talkative and friendly.  The portion of fries were huge!  Not my kind of fries b/c they're the big fat potato-y fries, but you get a big basket of 'em!  Strange b/c our friends ordered the happy hour special of a burger and fries - which is 25 cents more expensive than their normal burger and fries - even tho' it's the same thing.  Go figure.  I enjoyed the live music.

Only on the island for a few hours and famished, we decided to eat here...looked quaint and inviting with the open windows, birds walking in and out etc.

    GONG....

Dont do it, bad food and service.

This is one of our favorite places to stop at for a Mai Tai or two whenever we visit "Paradise".  The bartender, Justin, who is also one of the managers who works Saturdays & Sundays, is the best.  He always seems to recognize us (even though we only go to Maui 5 or 6 times a year), the food is good, and they have the best Mai Tai's in town.  It's across the street from that HUGE tree in Lahaina, so the people-watching from their 2nd floor bar is fun.
A few months ago, we went in and decided to split a Caesar Salad and a turkey sandwich.  Without having to ask, the waitress served it to us on two different plates; each one holding half of the salad and half of the sandwich.  We were very impressed.

This place was recommended in the Maui Revealed book...but yet another miss on this one!

Getting seated took awhile though there were hardly any people in the place. Service was good after that. I had the kalua pork sandwich with a side of fries and a pickle spear. The sandwich came on ciabatta bread which I wasn't a fan of, the pork itself wasn't too flavorful without sauce on it, fries were tasty and the pickle spear massive.

I don't know, it was just meh. Sounds like we missed out on the view by sitting downstairs, had no idea there was another floor! So we had a view of the sidewalk, that probably didn't help.

We stumbled upon this place one night when starving.  It was 630p and we were a party of 7.  The sidewalk hostess lured us in with promise of roof top dining ...

It turned out to be a lovely experience.  The setting WAS lovely, beautiful view on the roof.  Service was friendly, and the food was okay.  I think they did a little bit "too much" with the food, but the setting made up for that well.

I'd definitely go there again.  But I'd make sure to eat upstairs on the roof ... that's what really made the meal for us!

WARNING: DO NOT RATE THIS POST USEFUL!!  :-)

So, we're waiting for the Molokai Princess to take us to Molokai at 7:15am, and I'm starving.  What to do?  Bad-Ass coffee didn't have any food, so I walk up to the waitress at FSG&B and tell her my dilemma, and she suggests a bagel.  Ok!  A minute later, she hands me a white plastic bag with a white styrofoam box, containing a tasty, fluffy, and slightly toasted bagel with cream cheese - yum!  Makes me want to try the rest of the menu ...

My niece and I were shopping on Lahaina, we decided to check out this place!  What a great place!  I ordered the front street  burger, and she ordered the fish & chips. I loved the burger, but the fish & chips were awesome!  I think they used coconut & macadamia nut.. it was crunch and so so good!  I can't wait to go back to Maui, and I'm for sure going back to Front Street  Grill and Bar.

Such the fun place to go hang out while you wait in Lahaina for one of the NUMEROUS sunset cruises...or even a morning one if that "floats yer boat!"

We had a cruise lined up for around 5pm out of Lahaina and we just so happened to arrive early (thanks to our misinformed hotel!  grrrr.) So we did what we do best....DRANK ALCOHOL!!!

The Front Street Grill and Bar is literally steps from the Lahaina boat docks...it's open air (has a roof upstairs but the sides are all open so the lovely sea breeze...what little there is in Lahaina...rushes through).  There's a live band a la B-grade Jimmy Buffet up stairs as well...and they encourage you to sing along...which...after a few drinks, you just might do.

Happy Hour is amazing...we had TWO beers for like under...yes UNDER $6.  Can't beat that...and they were draft!!!  Great food specials as well but we didn't eat on account that we had to look forward to catered food (blecht!) on our sunset cruise!  Well...I shouldn't say that...the food on the cruise is decent, I ate everything so that must mean SOMEthing. :)
