If you want a smoke and have a good adult sophisticated drink to go along with the cigar...then this is the place. Was here in December and had a nice time. They played great latin music and the service was pleasant on the eyes and fast. I will be back when I return to Orlando in the summer!!
Review Source:We had picked up a cigar over at Sosa and told them that we'd be headed here to enjoy the cigar -- which was a great choice. This is a great spot to come out, grab a drink, and slowly enjoy your cigar and said drink.
This place can get kind of crowded so it was a bit hard to get the drinks at first so I'm not sure how cigar picking would have gone if we attempted to pick one here. So I'd definitely recommend getting them beforehand.
Great little bar. Â If you enjoy smoking cigars, ask for Lazaro's hand-rolled cigars. Â The bartenders and waitresses are super friendly. Â The drinks were excellent and inside the bar it was very cool (as in air conditioned). Â It also has a nice vibe inside. Â I felt very comfortable when I sat down and like I said, the staff was friendly. Â They engaged me and my Brother-in-Law in conversation which was nice.
I really enjoy smoking cigars but don't like it when the smoke lingers to the point of creating a smog in the bar. Â They apparently have a filtration system that sucks the smoke out of the bar and recirculates the air. Â That was an added bonus. Â It's a small place but I would highly recommend it if you're in Downtown Disney and want a cool place with friendly staff to have a cigar and some drinks.
One thing of note...because you're in Downtown Disney, the drink prices will be on the high side moderate, but not too bad. Â But what do you expect? Â It's Disney!
This was a really great chill spot for a rainy night. We had dinner and wandered around for a bit before deciding to drop in Fuego. All of the staff were nice, though I did ask a man at the bar for a cup of water and he passed the order off onto someone else so he could continue his conversation with a couple at the bar. Boo.
My bf and friend (she's a gangster) both got cigars. We all enjoyed the atmosphere and never felt rushed.
The place is tiny so we had to wait for a group to leave before we were able to get a table. While we waited we stood, pretty awkwardly, and chatted.
I was surprised when reading one of the other reviews when someone mentioned that they are sure to ignore you if you are under 60...How untrue!
It was my friend's birthday and he wanted to visit the cigar bar to get a cigar and enjoy the atmosphere. The cigar section can be kind of awkward when there are several people looking at once, but two servers were quick to ask if we needed any help in selection. I personally like that the selection isn't enormous as I find large collections to be too overwhelming (especially to novice or casual cigar smokers). My friend and another member of our group made there selections and we said we would like to sit on the patio. They obliged us and even put together a few tables for us to accommodate our large group. We ordered a few drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere.
About an hour into our evening a member of our party became ill (nicotine can cause extreme nausea especially among novice smokers) and I regret to say he was sick right there on the patio. The waitress was very polite and went to fetch a glass of water and some extra napkins right away. After he felt he could go to the restroom to clean up the manager promptly came out and sprinkled what looked like sawdust (but smelled like Pine sol) on the mess. Five minutes later she came out with a broom and swept it all up. It looked like nothing had even been there! She then reassured us and said it happens occasionally. Very professional. By the time our friend came back all was taken care of. As our friend was anxious to leave we paid our bills (and tipped well!) and were on our way.
Excellent and professional service! I will def stop by here for a casual drink next time I'm here. Might skip the cigar though :)
I have walked by this place thousands of times and never gave it a second glance. Went to Downtown Disney the other day for dinner and a movie and had some time to kill in between the two. We asked our waitress at dinner for a recommendation of a bar to chill at and she said Fuego. We decided to listen, and I'm glad we did. Now first off I have never smoked a cigar and barely gave their selection a second glance, but as a bar I give it an A+. Our server (Jorge) was AMAZING! PLUS they serve Chex mix with your drinks. I just thought that was the coolest little touch ever.
They obviously allow smoking in here since it is a cigar bar, but they must have one heck of a suction system going on because it was barely even noticeable that everyone but us was smoking. The crowd is definitely a little more adult, but that made for a more enjoyable experience since you didn't have to deal with the obnoxious tourist family.
This isn't a bar that is sufficient enough to be your one stop shop but if you find yourself in Downtown Disney with an hour to spare I would definitely check it out.
Stopped in here for a few drinks after wandering around Disney for a bit. The place is pretty nice inside & the bartenders are pretty quick to get you a drink. The Cigar selection was OK, they only carry a limited number of brands, so if your looking for something in particular there is a pretty decent chance they won't have it. There is a cigar guy there that will help you try to find something comparable. We went out to sit on the patio and our waitress was not very nice. You could tell she didn't wanted to be there and she was just kind of mean in general. So, if you go here either stick inside with the bartender or avoid the waitress with long dark curly hair and glasses.
Review Source:Hubs and I were trying to find a bar to hang out at after our dinner at Fulton's Crab House. Â We walked through Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island and Fuego called out to me. Â It didn't have any obnoxious music blaring in the patio area like most others did. Â So, there was no immenent douche factor to it (which I liked). Â
We walked and were greeted by a guy who helped hubs pick out a cigar. Â It was a humid night but it wasn't too hot so I chose a table on the patio versus the cool a/c powered interior of the bar. Â After my first drink I started to get warm so we moved inside where it was nice and cool.
We hung out for a few hours and had the best time. Â The staff is very gracious and friendly. Â We would definitely return.
My husband and I are Disney annual pass holders and frequent all things Disney several times a year, but one place we must visit on every trip is Fuego by Sosa Cigars. This cozy cigar bar is the reason for going to Pleasure Island now that the night clubs are long gone. This very modern, fire and ice themed lounge is the perfect adult get away after spending all day at the parks. They offer a huge selecton at the bar and have a great selection of cigars such as Macabi, Sosa Family Cigars, Padron, Arturo Fuentes, and La Aurora, just to name a few. The service there is excellent, and the manager makes you feel as if you are part of the family. There is plenty of seating inside and out, and even provides domino tables in case you would like to strike up a game. I have yet to find a better Mojito than the one they make there, and that's saying a lot because I am from Miami! If you are into cigars, or just want a loungy, chic place to relax and have a drink, I highly recommend Fuego.
Review Source:After spending a recent weekend at the Disney World resort, my girlfriend and I decided to close it out by spending the night at Downtown Disney for dinner and drinks. While walking around looking at menus and looking for a place to have some drinks, we noticed this cigar bar and took a mental note to come back.
When we finished eating, we went shopping at the Sosa Family Cigar store a little ways down the road from "Fuego". I was extremely disappointed in the selection and service of the place, and we decided to swing on over to Fuego to see the selection of cigars there. Thankfully, it was a bit better.
Fuego is a cool looking place, very modern, and it was very clean and well-maintained. There are a few places to sit out front, a few tables out back, and there was a few tables inside the place, along with about 15 bar stools at the main bar. When we got there, the place was pretty much empty, a few customers, and a few police officers having a Red Bull.
On one wall, is a large grouping of humidors where you can select your cigars for the evening. As with the other Sosa store, it was mainly Sosa Family cigars, with a few Padrons, Arturo Fuentes, and ONE case of Monte Cristos. After the debacle of shopping at the other store, I was pretty psyched to see this box of Monte Cristos, as it was one of my favorites. I opened the box to find... NOTHING. An empty box. :( Definitely not happy. So I decided on a Sosa Family cigar, priced around 8 bucks, which turned out to be a pretty good cigar. There is a lady at the front register who will cut and light the cigar for you, and once you pay, you can sit at one of the many tables and enjoy your smoke and a drink. They offer up a full bar, although I was disappointed at the selection of draft beers. The bartender was also a bit of a bitch, but she did do a very good job at serving us.
Overall, I did like the atmosphere of this place. I was able to relax and enjoy my cigar and ice cold beer, they had some nice music playing, and it was a relaxing and cool place to be. Nothing really struck me as being amazing, though, the service was average, the selection of cigars was subpar, but I did manage to have an alright time. If you're at Downtown Disney and would like to light up and get away from all the families and kids and enjoy yourself, this is a good place to go. Not sure if I'll be coming back, but I did enjoy myself.
