Tons of fun games.  Great prices, and great bar specials for the adults.

This place is fun for the whole family. Kids can play virtual games, racing, and win tickets good for prizes among other things to do while mom and dad catch a drink by the bar. All that fun opens your appetite, luckily they have a restaurant that serves American food, sandwich, burgers etc. VIP room for private parties and large TV's to catch the game.

GameTime is a great place to kill some time before a movie. You pop in, play some games, have a few drinks, time flies. There's a wall of like 9 tv's by the bar which was awesome during march madness. That was cool. I don't know if they have nFL sunday ticket, but if they do, that'd be really sweet. There's only a few chairs by that wall though, so it may be cramped. Even if that's the case, you can't get angry. There's draft beer and skee ball. You're definitely leaving with a smile.

My husband and I recently went to this place in hopes of a nice little meal before we continued around the corner to see the new Batman movie at the Imax. We sat down and placed our orders which took quite some time ( strange being that the place was empty). When the food finally came it was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.  Do NOT order the shrimp pasta it was completely inedible( super watery, no flavor, off putting smell). My husband who order a steak sandwich said it was " OK". After I explained to the waiter about the pasta which I clearly did not eat, he apologized and proceeded in charging us for it ! I could not believe this.

    To conclude:

~Do not eat at this place. Their food is inedible and even when this fact is brought to their attention they still charge you for it at the end of the day.
~Perhaps its a fun place to play some games with the kids, but that is all I can recommend and even that is too expensive.

Go on Tuesdays! They match your bill with points toward games! The deal is from 4-7pm. Great deal!

They have a lot of choices on their menu. If youre health conscious try their chicken breast that comes with 2 sides. I recommend mixed vegetables along with their sweet potato fries. Delicious!  Their service was a little on the slow side because there were only 2 servers on a quite busy night. Everything else was on point as long as you DONT GET THE SHRIMP SCAMPI! Very boring dish.
All in all great experience and is a great place for family fun night, date night, or just hanging out with friends.

Came here for a fun 'little kid' type of day with my girlfriend and had a really good time :) we came around 4:30 and found happy hour at the bar ( yes we are those people that find happy hour everywhere ;) ) so we had some half off drinks and a couple half off bar apps nothing special but hey it's an arcade, who eats here? Bought 100 credits and went to go play some games , there weren't many kids or people in general which is good with us. A lot of the games either weren't on or had out of order signs which sucked but the place was clean and the employees were nice overall it was a fun day :)

The last time I was here was when it was still game works... 3 years ago! First time eating here though. The service was so-so.. Very slow, even though it wasn't even busy. The wait for the appetizers and entrees were long. I got the shrimp scampi. DO NOT GET! Has no flavor and is boring... Ended up reordering and getting ribs which were delish!

As for the actually arcade part, I give that 5 stars!

I must say what I miss most about kids birthday parties and summer camps are the arcades! As soon as I walked into Gametime, I was transported to that awesome time in my life. From blinking lights to kids screaming with joy as they reach the jackpot, this arcade has everything you remember from your elementary school years. The only difference is this time you will be drinking a beer while playing skee ball instead of a coke! And instead of having lug around you tickets, they give you a handy dandy card that keeps your ticket balance and reloads each time you go there! Now you can finally rack up enough tix to win that stuffed Mickey Mouse you have always wanted.

The food and drinks here are average and the games are expensive. Good to watch a game and take the kids so that they can be entertained. I had a philly cheese steak which was below average but my boyfriend said the chicken wings were pretty good.  But really, there was nothing special or memorable about this place. Very blah.

I remember when this was Gameworks! My friend and I would come here to flirt with the waiters in the restaurant section and just gossip about the latest drama that happened. Oh, high school. How I do not miss you.

Walking back into this place brought all those memories back and though they've changed colors or added new games, it still looks the same for the most part. No one really bothered us when we looked around. I didn't eat there nor did I play any games but just being in such a place was enough for me. I did notice the place was clean and there wasn't any gum stuck to some arcade game so that was nice. I kind of want to come back and re-live some of those high school memories...

I've come here many times with friends to just hang out and have a couple of drinks. The drinks are super cheap here. You would think its happy hour all the time! They have great deals all day and for 10 bucks you can have a total childhood nostalgia moment while your hammered. ( Warning: Parents who want to bring there kids here after 9pm on a weekend must understand there are a lot of drunks lurking around.)

Always a good time when I come here. Waitress Jess is awesome! Ask for her when you go!

I went here the day of my birthday since my little brothers were in town and I was babysitting my best friend's son (his birthday, too). Although they had a wonderful time and that is what is most important for me, I must tell about my experience with the service when it came to the restaurant area of the place.

The three boys ordered from the kid's section. I had a club sandwich with fries that I did not finish. I guess I was not that hungry. The food was average.

However, the service was rather slow. Although the server was helpful with the game cards I bought for the boys, she seemed busy with several tables. She took long, especially coming back to give me the bill.

More recently, I went with a friend during a day of shopping in the mall. We sat at a booth when we got there. I stepped away to the bathroom and upon my return found out that there was still no menu at the table. No one had come. I walked over to the bar to ask if a server was available. The bartender offered to take the order. However, I replied that we needed menus. We decided to sit at the bar to make things easier.

The bartender took our order rather quickly, but after our food was there the service was mediocre. He stopped being attentive, especially when we were ready to go. I could probably estimate we had to wait over 20 minutes just to get the bill. He was helping other people with loading their game cards and never acknowledging that we were there. The only reason he ended up giving us the check was when a waiting customer that was going to get help told him that we had been waiting.

Although most people go for the games, service should definitely improve!

Due to our famous weather patterns, we had to change our outdoor birthday party celebration to an indoor place. Upon 48 hours notice, we decided on GameTime.

By far, this was a blessing in disguise.

For our 6 yr old we opted for the Ultimate Package, which included a cake, all the decorations  gaming cards and all the trimmings. Nothing like hosting a party and not having to lift a finger!

The attention by the staff was absolutely outstanding, everyone who attended had a wonderful time.

    Definitely a plus!

A little expensive but well kept and the kids had a great time.  One of them actually hit the 1,000 ticket jackpot!  Had a great time on a rainy Friday night.

Let me preface this review by saying that I had a lot of fun on the night I came here with a group of about a dozen to celebrate a friend's birthday.  I'd just come from another event with a different group and arrived here hungry, thirsty, and looking forward to having some fun and playing some games.  I'd been to Dave and Busters a few months earlier and had a blast; I figured this would be a similar experience.

I'd agree with Hannah S., 2 stars is about all this place deserves. GameTime seems to have a very simple business model: Extract the greatest amount of money from the greatest amount of people in the shortest possible timespan. If you don't mind spending lots of cash very quickly on games, many of which are obviously designed not to be won, then you'll enjoy this place.

Here's what GameTime offers:  Games of skill where one must position a cutting blade around a string that's holding up a prize.  While it takes great skill, many attempts and lots of luck to position the cutter properly, even if you master that, which takes a while, the cutter won't actually cut through the string on the first or even the second try.  You must take several turns positioning the cutters just right, which is very difficult and doesn't happen often, and cut the string over and over until the item finally falls.  The cost for each attempt? $3.00.   They have other games where you press a button to drop a ball onto a rotating disc that has several holes in it, and the holes are marked with different amount of tickets you can win in order to earn prizes.  The holes are difficult to hit at best, and the ones for the highest numbers of tickets (I think 100 tickets max) have a plastic piece screwed onto them which makes the hole smaller than the others, nearly impossible for a ball to drop into those holes unless the planets are aligned perfectly, and the plastic bit makes it completely impossible for the ball to roll into those high value holes if it doesn't drop in from the chute when it initially falls.  The cost of playing that game?  I think $2.00.   They have a "claw" machine filled with candy.  The price to play? $1.00.  They have miniature pieces of candy in there, and each time you play you might get something like a mini Tootsie Roll Pop that costs a penny in an assortment bag at Publix.

A few of the games were out of tickets on this night (3 of the Skee Ball machines, the carnival style sledge hammer machine, etc.) and there was no attendant going around to fill them up.  The "prizes" they were offering, even for several hundred tickets were laughable and were nearly all geared towards small children.  Granted, no one expects to walk out of here with a cherished keepsake, but at least allow people to feel they got a little something for all the cash they dropped in the games here.

They do have a reasonable restaurant and bar here, which is probably a welcome sight to parents since they can give the kids a load of cash or a game card and go have a drink or some food while the kids play.   I ate here and the food was good and prices were decent, but the automatic 18% gratuity was a bit steep. Granted, the server was good and attentive and I'd have most likely given her that much, anyway, but 18% automatic?

Again, I had fun here and loved the company I was with, but I felt GameTime in general was a complete rip off.  At least at a casino you know what you're going into and you know what the odds are, but in a casino they at least allow you to make your money last a bit, and there's at least a small chance you might break even or even win something decent.

I gave it 1 star because I couldn't give 0. I came with my family because I used to come here when it was Gameworks & we loved the food. Figured we'd try the new place, waited 15 minutes with our menus & no one even came to our table. Got up & left. Sad considering there were about 5 employees standing around chatting by the host stand.

I'd never been here before, even in its previous incarnation as Gameworks. I figured it'd be awful, but I find myself taking the opposite tack and saying that it's not really as bad as I thought it would be.

Yes, it's true - you can win hundreds of tickets at Skee-ball and still fall far short of the 100,000,000,000 you need to win a crappy stuffed Mickey Mouse. But that's always the way it was at arcades. Arcades always were, and I guess still are, casinos for children - they exist to take your money. It's pretty much the same thing. Instead of chain-smoking Grandma sitting at a slot machine all day pumping in quarters, here you have little brats swiping play cards, going crazy over new-school video games that look way too complicated to this Gen-X'er.

I would just stick to the Skee-ball and the air hockey. There is a bar area with TVs, and they do serve food, which I can't comment upon because I didn't have any.

This is all perfectly fine for what it is, hence the three-star rating. You know what would bump this up in my eyes, though? Old school video games. I'm not interesting in strapping in to some chair that goes up and down as you shoot crap on a giant screen. Hell no. I want my blips and bleeps back. I want to kick ass at Galaga again, with my patented cross-arm method. How about some Arkanoid? Gyruss? Dig Dug? Crystal Castles??

Do this, Gametime, and you get adjusted up to five stars.

If this review were just for the company I kept on this particular occasion, Gametime would totally get 5 stars. But the place itself left a lot to be desired. Maybe I'm spoiled by the adults-only atmosphere at Dave & Busters, but the last thing I enjoy when I'm drinking is the company of children. There were FAR too many running around this place.

Also, this joint is a little run down. There's something about the lighting and the overall atmosphere that really don't do it for me. The games are ok, and at least they had my favorite - skee ball!

While I didn't actually cash in my tickets - since I donated them to the birthday boy - the prizes looked pretty lame. And it seemed practically impossible to attain anything good. A stuffed animal that would probably cost $15 was like 7 million tickets. Pulease! Dave & Busters has prizes geared towards adults, which rocks - but this place was kiddie central. Boring.

I probably won't be back here unless it's for another party. I'd rather drive the distance to D&B than spend money here.

Visited this venue last week for a friend's bday. The only thing that has changed about this place pretty much is just the name...The set up and  the games are exactly how I remembered 10yrs ago. Having that said...yes the food is decent...but the highlight were of course, the friends I went with. If it wasn't because of them, I don't think I would have personally visited this place. It looks a bit run down for my taste...not my scene...but hey...if you like to play video games..I guess this is the place for you.

It is often good company and service that can raise a locale to 5 stars, even if the plates themselves could use a tad more seasoning.

I came to Game Time the other night with a small group to celebrate a friend's birthday. Located on the 3rd floor of Sunset Place - and with one of the signs still bearing the previous incarnations name - Game Time provided a cool version for an active, fun filled birthday party. There's a dining area off the main entrance where you get to enjoy standard to decent bar food and start the evening off with your crew. I munched on a quesadilla which was "not bad". I had a generous serving of sour cream, ok amount of pico de gallo and decent portiona of chicken. The hot sauce on the side was a major plus to get the quesadilla to my desired heat level. My cool glass of house chardonnay provided a nice contrast as did a glass of red from a bottle we got for our table. A friend's burger looked really large, and I might try that next time I'm here instead.

An extra kudo to the kitchen staff for alowing us to BYOC..Bring Our Own Cake...a 5 star tiramisu made by the birthday boy's significant other.

On to the games: Yes, the graphics are a little bit dated. It's not Android level AMOLED. But where else can you pretend to be an NFL quarterback, a cop, a street racer (especially after two wine glasses) or have a friend take one of your skeeBalls? Almost all of the games our group played were in working order and were generous with the prize tickets, with which the birthday boy got to enjoy a "shockingly" fun gift.

With good friends, regardless of the gray hairs on your head, you can have a fun Friday night at this spot!

Cool place! Not to sure as to why they changed it from Gameworks to Gametime but it still has all the same stuff. We took my boyfriends niece on saturday because she had never been to an arcade. So what better way to introduce her to one by bringing her to a huge arcade with any game you could ask for that even has a place to eat and a bar for the parents. On thursday they have a $12 unlimited pass so that's cool. We ended up getting a 40 credit card it was lasting pretty good until she was hitting  up all the racing games lol. We ended it with a pretty cool game that was like a ride that shot you all the way up and dropped you down.I was a kid for that moment in time and had a blast and won against all the little kids and I was like "yes im the champ chumps". Lol. Its a good place fort bday parties, to take the little ones our just to be a kid and get out.

If you're in a hurry to grow up, first thing you do is abandon the notion of ever returning to a place like this. If you know anything from that Sociology course you're taking, it's that those in the higher percentile come here for a good time. They buy their rounds, play pool...with tokens, and try their luck on the 30 year old nascar simulators.

I was forced here one night, when a rare, quality film appeared next to shrek 10 and a jonah-hill-looks-surprised-in-every-scene movie, only to see that it had gone all sold for the night. Trying to make sense to my peers en route, the doors to this place opened, and I'll admit I had fun for the rest of the night.

So what. I like playing air hockey, DDR, time crisis, and shooting up bballs in their cages. Sue me.

What do you do when the movie you want to see is sold out? The choices are limited if you aren't in the mood for a drink and you aren't hungry. That's why there used to be Game Works. I had heard about its closing but decided to check the area out just in case when I found myself in this very predicament.

GameTime? Interesting. . . sounds almost the same. Looks almost the same. Has many of the same games. Hmmmm....

Key difference. Not as nice, not as expensive. Which is a good thing. You pay 25 cents per credit - with most games ranging between 2-6 credits. Some of the games are beat up, some of them not working. Reminds me more of Flippers, your standard old videogame place. It's an easy cheap thrill for a late night of nothing to do. And the place was packed!

Yep they have air hockey, ski ball, pool, dance revolution, basketball, videogame tennis, and all the racecar and motorcycle games you could ask for. If you know how to make lemonade outta lemons, this place can work for you.
