This is a great straightforward diner with a nice large pie menu. We came here after a disastrous meal at Maison just for dessert. Service was warm and friendly. Menu was quite large. And food is very reasonably priced. We had the hot fudge sundae and the fresh strawberry pie. This was the highlight of our otherwise awful evening. Very glad we stopped here and we will be back.
Review Source:Stopped in here while passing through the area. Â Sign said family restaurant so we gave it a shot instead of the nearby Burger King. Â
Once the food arrived, a whopper seemed much more appealing....
The staff was friendly, but the food was pretty sad. Â Everything tasted like it was just taken from the freezer and heated. Â All SYSCO stuff put on a plate. Â All the sauces were from packets, the salad was out of a bag, and in general just tasted pretty meh.
The plus was the warm bread that seemed fresh and not as awful. Â
Maybe breakfast is better here, but skip the dinner menu.
This is a good ole fashioned family restaurant that is DIRT cheap (minus the dirt - really this place is so clean with super friendly staff) Sure, you'll be surrounded by the 65+ crowd, but who doesn't like some home cooking at a good price? It sure beats the Willow Street diner across the street!
The best place to get a $2.50 bangin Grilled Cheese sandwich, chips and pickle.
Grilled cheese isn't the only good thing on the menu either. If you in the need to a quick and cheap breakfast or want a super reccionista dinner night hit up Georges for dinner and then head across the street to the Kendig Square movies for a $2.50 showing!
I've only been here for breakfast but it is delicious. Quick, friendly service everytime. Except for the one waitress who rushes around and pours coffee in your cup without asking if you want refills.
$.99 breakfast Monday-Friday is probably the best deal in the world. It's 2 Eggs, 2 Pieces of Toast, and Home Fries. You can't beat that anywhere.
We usually follow our breakfast up with a $2 movie next door at Kendig Square Movies.
