As a bar, it's fine.  Live music is a plus, but the waitress had to weave through those dancing with plates full of dishes and then empty dishes to get back and forth to the kitchen. All the locals seemed to be enjoying themselves. My first and last time.

I actually feel a little guilty for writing a negative review of a local place but I can't stop myself because it was just that annoying. My low rating is based solely on the poor service. 3 friends and I were there for nearly half an hour and all we got was 1 soda. The waiter was too engrossed in a conversation to take the rest of our order or bring us the rest of our drinks.

I've had good experieinces here in the past but we decided it wasn't worth the wait and walked out. I recommend the Bulldog and Toomey's as my preferred Amityville options.

Good Bar - Terrible Restaurant
Ten dollar hamburger on toasty old crusted bread, chicken parmesan sandwich was left over chunks of chicken buried in sauce then topped with melted cheese but again with old crusty toasted bread, the $10 bowl of today's special soup was OK, the stuffed calamari appetizer smelled very fishy and everyone who sampled it didn't sleep that night.
This is a bar............. if you want restaurant food, go to a restaurant.
