A dive sports bar with mediocre food.

Food: The burgers tasted like supermarket quality.

    Price: Reasonable.

    Service: Efficient, but not friendly.

    Atmosphere: Dead - weekend lunch.

Full bar: Stale tasting tap beer.

I realize weekend lunch is not the best time to judge the atmosphere, but the mediocre food, stale tap beer and limited beer selection don't inspire me to come back at night.

    I will not go back.

An actual bar. Bar atmosphere, bar beer, bar food. It's perfect if that's what you're looking for. Food is good, beer is cold, and they have a projection TV right in the middle of the bar for sporting events. And they play game sound, which is key in my book.

The Globe is hands down the best local bar in Red Bank. The staff is awesome and always so much fun. The food is great: globe burger, hot roast beef sandwich, all the appetizers like the cordon blue bites (omg), fried clams, broccoli bites. It's such a chill place to go hang at any night of the week. Awesome happy hour from 11:30-7. Great prices, great beers on tap. Although they need to get HARPS back!!! Recommend to anyone. Ask for Jim the bartender, he rocks.

The Globe is one of the few pubs in Red Bank and I have ventured into this little hole in the wall many a times.  Most patrons will go for the beer and bar food but I really do love the KoolAid Grape cocktail.  Best food item on the menu are the deep fried raviolis---have had requests fr the hubby numerous times to pick some up for him after my volleyball get togethers here.  Would come back here if I didn't discover Barnacle Bills.

*Update:  forgot to mention the tacos!  Best tacos EVER!  Soooo good!!!*

I only come to the Globe because my friends drag me here. People like to say it's a "cool dive bar with cheap drinks," but I strongly disagree. The drinks are just as expensive, and not any stronger or better made than the drinks at somewhere a little more upscale like the Downtown. Plus the last time I ordered a Budweiser here it was at least $5. If you want a dive bar, go to Walt St. Pub by the train station.

It's okay.  Good sports bar in Red Bank.  Service was very good.  Food was okay, nothing to brag about.  Had a burger and steak fries.  Burger was good, but fries were very overdone.  Seems like a good place to go during football season.

local place with great burgers and wings -- not a fan of the wraps

inside is the classic 60's look with a few tables and large bar, outside not great looking

a great place to catch the game on a big tv

expect $5 beers, unless there is a game

Not a bad choice to hang out. Its pretty standard as far a  a good bar goes. Televisions, good food, bartender refilling standard beers. No real I complaints. Burgers are banging. I prefer the Dublin House around the corner.

This place is a classic.  It's the "Cheers" of Red Bank.  It's sort of a divy sports bar, but the food is great, the service is great, and if you're into watching a sports event at a bar, then this is your place.  During the week is a very local gathering.  On the weekends it's packed with nice easy going people (who choose not to compete with the wanna-be's downtown).  Best dish:  Globe burger (wings are a close sencond, and the porkroll and cheese sandwich is a nose behind).  Best drink:  L.I.T.  My only complaint is that they don't have a good beer selection.  They have every commercial beer, and it's variant (ie lime bud light), but not a single microbrew to offer.

We go here fairly often. It's not bad, but they have one of those pay-per-play jukeboxes. Ugh.

However, I did order a friend a "four horsemen on Turkey Hill shot for his 21st and the bartender knew what it was and how to make it. Points for that.

Not a bad spot, just not my favorite.

What's so good about it? It's loud, full of jocks and drunks, and its a sports bar. If you like knuckeheads or suspect you are a knucklehead, then this is a fitting place for you. But 4 stars? C'mon, this is a grimy hole that serves buffalo wings, fries and burgers. Stay classy Red Bank.

This is without question my favorite bar in Red Bank.

The Globe is a place which doesn't pretend to be something it isn't.  Rather than trying to be a restaurant, the Globe allows itself to be a sports bar with good beer and damn good bar food. The Globe Burgers and Wings are excellent.

When I say the Globe isn't pretending to be restaurant, what I mean is that it is one of the few remaining places in the Borough where you can just sit at a table with your friends and drink if you'd like, without ordering any food, and no one from the staff will ever hassle you to move --- even if others might want a table to eat.

Other places in Red Bank are so obsessed with getting the next party in that they forget that just because you didn't buy food this time around (assuming they will even let you sit if you aren't buying food), doesn't mean you haven't a million times before and won't a million times after.

By not rushing people in and out, they make you feel like at home which means you'll be back time and time again.

I see a few of the reviewers on here complaining about "rude bartenders".  That's never been my experience at the Globe ... and I've been going there for well over a decade now.

The Globe is my favorite bar in Red Bank.  Give it a few tries and you'll find yourself becoming a regular as well!

I like the atmosphere here, but the bar service is slow as shit, thats it you can even get them to acknowledge your existence!!! I recommend grabbing a table for faster service and going with a group so you take over the place and demand their attention. Prices weren't bad as far as I remember, since I downed a whole bunch of car and jueger bombs...Its a nice start point for a red bank bar crawl.

Great local bar with good food. Wings, burgers and sandwiches are all above par and the beer is always frosty. What more can you want from a local.

Crowd varies from after-workers, 30-40 crowd and some families in for dinner and then turns into a 20-something crowd as the night goes on. Go back a few times and you'll be a regular.

A good neighborhood/sports bar just off the main drag of Broad Street in downtown Red Bank.  Sort of dark, with low ceilings that used to trap all the cigarette fumes right at head level before the NJ smoking ban.

Pros: Decent tap beers; excellent wings; some of the best burgers in the area.  The club sandwich is a good, too.

    Cons: Sometimes-rude bartenders.

Pro or con depending on your POV: It's a sports bar. They do have NFL Sunday ticket if you want to watch some obscure, non-Giants/Jets game. Go Bills!

From the outside The Globe is nothing special and doesn't get much better once you are in the bar/dining area. Great place, however, to get a beer, sandwich and do a little people watching.

The Globe is seconds away from some top shelf restaurants and doesn't let that fact stop it from being a special place in its own right.

They have an extensive menu, daily specials and the pork roll sandwich (definitely a Jersey thing) with cheese is worth the trip. Do yourself a favor and stop in next time you're in Red Bank.
