Golden Crown Restaurant

Talk about a diamond in the rough, the neighborhood isn't the cleanest, most maintained or prettiest but, this place kinda shines. Granted it needs some polishing.

Here's the skinny:
The Parking lot was recently re-surfaced
Food is good and Cheap
Breakfast all day long
Waitress' are quick 'n friendly

This is a great little local diner that has been around for a LONG time. The food is pretty darn good and the only complaint I have is that some of the breakfast items like the potatoes or bacon is a weee bit greasy. I've had the french toast, pancakes, pig's in a blanket and a couple of the skillets. All of it was pretty good and the portions are huge too. The lunch and dinner items are A-OK but I've only had the spaghetti and their tuna salad on a croissant. Soups... meh... I've had some of the noodle soups and the noodles got pretty soggy. Other soups are good to go though!

The staff is super friendly and they love talking to you while you're waiting on food to come out. They're also pretty quick on the coffee and water refills too. There are some regulars in there that I see almost every time I stop in. Like I said in the tip I put up: It's got a "homey" feel to it.

I'd recommend checking this place out, not like for a date or anything but, definitely for a lunch break or for an after work meal.

I have lived here in Lansing for years and finally came here.We had the waffle,biscuts and gravy, bacon and ham steak. Each was very good.Clean place with friendly servers and fair prices.This place has been here since 'dirt' so I knew it had to be good!

Everything about this place was bad,the food is blah,the service was so so.if you are a senior citizen then this is the place for you
