The ambiance was very nice, dimly lit, white linens, candles and flowers on every table. The beverage list was extensive, cocktails, martinis and wines, as was the food menu. Our waiter was trained, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. It was a shame he did not understand that we did not want to be rushed. Each course was delivered as we were midway through the previous. But that and the very average dessert are my only complaints. The lobster mango spring rolls, the Tom Yum soup, the spicy salmon and red curry chicken all were very good. (Certainly I've had better, but for the location this gem was a real diamond in the rough.)

A bit pricey and old but, still a favorite of ours. If they were in a better building they'd be a fiver all the way!

    Here's the skinny:
Same owners as Asparagus in Merrillville, IN
Food is awesome, I especially like the Pineapple Fried Rice.
Drinks are perfect almost all the time, had a few eh... so-so ones too.
The building they're in is not the best... they deserve better.

    Here's the fat:
Sam and Tammy also own Asparagus in Merrillville, IN

The food at Siam Marina is always good, portions are quite large too. Me and whomever I'm with can usually order one entree and two appetizers to split, still there's usually leftovers to be boxed. My top fave here is 1- Pineapple Fried Rice or 2- Crab Fried Rice, both are delicious.

There are lot's of different Martini's to try here:
    Tokyo Night
    Lychee Martini
    Geisha Girl
They're all good, granted that there's a few times that they were a bit "off" on the flavor but, they'll remake it if you ask. I usually don't though... not my thing.

They're at River Oaks Mall, under Westwood College. It's an old building that doesn't do this place Justice, Siam Marina deserves a nice place with a cleaner more serviceable bathroom. The men's room is kinda terrible and the ONLY reason I had to deduct points... Sorry Sam, sorry Tammy, You know I love your restaurants and your food is always a hit!
As far as the rest of the place goes though, it's nice. The decor is simple, classy/casual style. There's an outdoor patio where they do Jazz in the summer(inside at winter time).

All in all, this is a great place to get a meal and/or grab a drink. Don't let the building they're in fool you, Siam is a diamond in the rough.

I read all of the reviews on Yelp and Open Table, and thought this place was worth a try. It should be noted that I've eaten at MANY different authentic Thai restaurants. I ordered Pad thai and Pad se ew that I have eaten many of times and I must say that this was the WORST I have ever had. They were both pretty bland and the Pad Se Ew was salty and covered in the sauce, and the menu says its a sweet sauce, but it is far from a sweet taste. If you have never had authentic Thai food, then this may pass off as good to you, but as an avid Thai food eater and foodie, I must say this isn't worth the $12 price. It is also pretty pricey. I thought it was pricey because Thai is hard to find in this area, and it is probably good, but I was WRONG.find a better place if you can.

    NOTHING TO RAVE ABOUT HERE.
