Great Place to watch a game, meet friends, or just plain relax. Laid back atmosphere, not too loud or crazy. The food is good, the burger stands up to most. They even have a burger challenge ala Man Vs. Food. Haven't done it yet, but it is on my bucket list. Great Staff and friendly locals.
Review Source:We went for Friday night all-you-can-eat fish fry. Â Service was very slow - our server told us he was the only one serving, and there was only one cook. Â When fish finally arrived, one of my friends asked if more could be started right away as we were sure to want more. Â That didn't seem to matter. Â Once the server did return to our table, we were told all-you-can-eat fish is indeed just that - no refills on fries (which were cold and not very tasty, but just thought it would be nice to have something other than fish for our second serving). Â Fish was okay, nothing spectacular.
Had to ask three times for sugar for my iced tea. Â Once I finally got it, it was undrinkable, even with the sugar. Â Too strong, likely from concentrate, since if it was brewed at that strength it would have been bitter as well. Â As it was, it was just tasteless.
Hope this was just an off night compounded by server issues. Â Though I doubt we will be returning to check our theory.
The latest bar/grill offering in Brookfield. New look on the inside from what it was previously. Thing is it just lacked any kind of atmosphere or ambiance. Let's say it's bland. Not a deal breaker but I was expecting more. For a Saturday early evening it was pretty dead.
We had stopped in with friends to check it out, have a few beers and try the burgers. Started out with an order of wings, they were decent. I had a burger with bacon, bbq sauce and onion rings. I really don't know why servers ask how you want the burger cooked. It always comes out over done. I wanted med-rare to medium. I got well done, big shock there. Burger was good no complaints. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals, service was decent.
Nothing really stood out. Be a good place to hang out have a burger and put back a few beers. No frills.
Cheers!
Stopped by just to check it out, saw new sign and had heard it reopened. Previous incarnations of this location were atrocious. Attentive service, good burgers, limited draft selections, generic Miller/Coors products but nice bottle selection. Lots of Tvs but sound wasn't great and bounced between tv, canned music and jukebox. A few bugs but familiar owners, who had owned another bar/grill in town several years ago will work the kinks out I'm certain.
Review Source:Definitely will go back! Â We ordered the hot wings, which were pretty good. Â We also ordered the GT burger and Buffalo Chicken wrap w/ fries and potato salad, which were both very good. Â Great portions! Â
For only the first week, service was ok, could be better and I'm sure it will get there. Â This place has a lot of potential. Â Lots of TVs...nice inside!
They did a wonderful job with the remodel. Looks very nice. The bartenders where very friendly & great crowd too. I met the owners and they were really nice guys & have some great ideas moving forward.
I didn't eat but from what I saw, orders getting picked up & other people eating I could tell they were enjoying their food. The menu looks very nice & fits the place & crowd. I plan on coming here quite a bit.
A new entry into the Brookfield bar scene. Â After a great preview in the local paper, my wife and I were interested to give this place a shot. Â Now, know that the day we went was the first day of business for them. Â So, I promise to update my review in a few weeks. Â
The place is fairly non-descript; a very large bar and lots of tables. Â TVs abound but there's no real character to the place. Â That's okay. Â They only have a few beers on tap but lots of bottles. Â The menu is the standard bar food but very extensive within the sandwich and burger field. Â The bartenders were friendly and apologetic because they were having computer problems. Â There were a lot of staff milling around behind the bar and you knew something was wrong. Â It was kind of comedic and yet one felt sorry for them because they knew they wanted to do well.
Three negatives: one, I ordered a second draft beer and the bartender didn't get me a fresh glass or even rinse out the one I had my first beer in. Â Second, the TVs must be a mix of cable and satellite because football games were not in sync. Â A couple of TVs were a few seconds behind the other TVs. Â This is a big deal to sports fans. Â Thank God it was the Packers/49ers games so no one really seemed to care but diehard sports people certainly would. Â Third, and I've never seen this before. Â My wife and I were sitting at the bar, eating wings. Â One of the guys behind the bar who seemed to be a manager was talking to some patrons to my left. Â The owner/manager spit into a sink that was under the bar and directly where I was sitting. Â I was so stunned that I couldn't speak. Â Disgusting. Â After a few minutes I called another bartender over and told her what happened. Â She was grossed out as well.
I will still give the place 3 out of 5 stars because the wings were good, the servers were nice enough, and the menu was extensive. Â Of the bars in downtown Brookfield, The Sanctuary has the nicest decor but Grand Avenue has the best food. Â
I hope that guy stops spitting though.
