I absolutely loved this theater! My boyfriend and I came here to see a movie, and possibly have a bite to eat. We ended up spending a WHOLE lot more than intended, but every bite was worth it.
The thing that got our attention first was that this theater is 21+ ONLY. That means no screaming kids, no obnoxious teenagers, and more than likely, no distractions.
When we got there we were brought to our seats. We were given menus and explained the process (hit the button if you need service).
We ordered our beverages and a cheese tray appetizer. When our cheese tray arrived, we were in awe. It looked amazing, it smelled amazing, and it tasted better than amazing!
My boyfriend ordered the duck, and I ordered the special (chicken and gouda sandwich). His duck was fantastic, as was my sandwich.
We were very impressed with the food.
We will definitely be coming back here. The only down side is that there are only 6 movies playing at a time.
The Grand Luxe now has a fine dining/movie theatre that includes upscale leather seats, pleasant waitresses and an upscale menu. At least they are calling it an upscale menu. I call it reheated upscale COSTCO items.
The resaurant would get  two stars, but because the overall experience that included wonderfully comfortable seats and very efficent waitress, I will move it to three stars.
Food was fair at best. I had their Grilled Breast of Duck - black-eyed pea salad, sweet heat
vinaigrette, truffled popcorn, and icecream sundae and their special lemonaide  . My husband had  the Sausage  - local sausage, peppers, mozzarella cheese, flat bread pizza and guilford beer.
Prices for the food were perfect. But my meal had one flavor to the entire thing, Hot pepper! You could not taste the cold bean salad or the duck. You had hot. The truffle oil popcorn was ok. My husband HATED IT. He felt it was too strong and did nothing to enhance the great flavor of movie buttered popcorn. The best part of the meal was that icecream I ordered to cool my burning mouth. The ice cream dessert I had was a wonderful mixture of fresh vanilla and salt and sweet, chocolate and almonds and crunchy toffee. Excellant and really a delightfull surprise after a soso meal. We will be back, but we will eat first elsewhere and come here for the chairs and dessert next time.
Also, they don't have tables to eat on. They have a slide tray that will remind you of eating in your hospital bed. Not a very romantic or comfortable setting if you are there with a date.
