When out of town, everybody wants to do or go someplace different, so we chose FATZ, a decision that would be later regretted. Â
Forget their website schtick, as nobody ever asked us for names. Â In fact the hostess was blase about our arrival, this should have been the first warning sign. Â Next, they were out of kids menu's. Â Our waitress, upon her arrival, said the kids could still have a kids menu but told us in an argumentative tone that what the kids were interested in wasn't on the kids menu. Â Imagine our surprise when she read off what was on the kids menu, she wrote it down on a note pad, and lo and behold, what they wanted was there. Â
The food was good, but the wait time from order to delivery was excessively long, and what was delivered wasn't prepared as ordered, however we didn't want to wait even longer while our food was re-done.
Excellent food, long wait from order to food delivery, and overall horrid service. In a town with so many food options, I can see why this place was slow, and would likely never receive my business again.
My wife and I went in at about 4 PM and the place was not busy. Â The service from our waitress Megan was good and she kept our drinks full. Â My wife had the Hickory BBQ Burger and enjoyed it. Â I had the Low Country Platter, which consisted of grilled kielbasa, fried potatoes, sauteed shrimp, spicy cajun jam fried chicken, and fried corn on the cob. Â The potatoes were soggy and the shrimp were caked in spices. Â But other then that, the food was good and we will be back.
