    Heyl yes.

I don't know what they put in their food, all I know is that I get cravings for not just Mediterranean food, but this exact Mediterranean food.

This is one of those rare joints where a vegetarian can leave blissfully full. No scrapping together a meal 'o sides like some other places!

Was never much of a fan of Mediterranean food.. but recently we found a restaurant not to far from our house which was pretty good.

My girl was out on a job interview in this area.. and after we were done we were pretty damn hungry.

We yelped it (of course) and this place turned up on our list...

"the green olive" sounds pretty tasty right?

Well we definitely weren't disappointed. They even had a deal at the time for a free beverage with a check-in. We got one beef plate and one combination plate that had chicken and shrimp. These sauces that came with it.. (garlic and something else?) were good and overall it was a good meal.

    Food & service were A OK! :D

I was craving Mediterranean food again. Third day this week.
This was the closes I could find near my office.
This place is located in an industrial part of the city and it shares parking with a bunch of restaurants. Parking is a hassle here. I've tried to go here once before and could not find parking anywhere and had to give up. This time, i went later and found parking way in the back. The hike to the restaurant was good exercise for what I was about to devour.

    Here's the rundown:
#7 Gyro & Kabob Royal: The dish came with hummus, rice, house salad, pita bread and their famous green hot sauce.
The Gyro was on point. Super flavorful meat. I would order the gyro again, delicious.
Chicken Kabob was very tender and delicious. The char on the chicken was perfect.

The hummus was just okay for me.
The famous green sauce was also just okay. It has a kick, strong kick so be fore warned.

I like that they give you a whole pita bread and with the tzatziki sauce was very good.

Service was fast and friendly. You order at the counter, pay, you wait, they call your number and voila, food is served. The wait time was less than 5 minutes for me. Which is pretty fast. The wait time my be a bit longer during the lunch rush.

    Pricing is very reasonable

The only gripe I have is the parking.

All in all, the food was very good. Specially the gyro.
    I'll definitely be back.

Did not expect a nice and affordable place in Compton, but the Green Olive takes the price for good value.

This review is based STRICTLY on sanitation conditions. I walked in to pick up my phone order and seems like the cooks, preppers do not wear gloves and he happened to be fixing up my order with his bare hands. I don't care what type of establishment it is, that is down right disgusting. I didn't even pay for my order. I simple said "I don't want it" and left. I offered to pay on multiple occasions, but cashier did not take my money.

The ladies in my family and I like to get together once a month and spend some time catching up over lunch. I wanted to try some place different this time, so headed to my good old friend yelp to find some suggestions and found the green olive.

What a great find! My aunt is not a big meat eater so I thought this place would be perfect. Everything is so fresh and seasoned just right. We ended up passing plates around becuase we wanted a taste of everything. You get a good sized portion of food for what you pay. The staff is very friendly and doesn't mind explaining the dishes to help you make your selection. And in the back there is a great hidden lounge if you ever want to rent out the space and have a party.

It was a great Sunday afternoon, made even better by the food.

Stopped by this place before a Galaxy game after seeing such good reviews on yelp, I was not disappointed! The food was delicious and Frank working the front counter was very accommodating.  Definitely will come back next time I am in the area!

Good food, kool service, nice price.. I appreciate having a better choice for food in the after hours instead of your typical buger joint.

AMAZING FOOD!!! You will love it!!!

A group of co-workers swung by the place at lunch today and we were so impressed buy the food quality and taste!! Super delicious food, big portions and spot on Greek taste.  The owner is very friendly and made us feel comfortable.  The owner recognized my co-workers company shirt and knew who we were.  Not that we are VIP or anything but my employer has ordered their food for lunch events.

We left satisfied and in a food coma! We will be back to try the hookah. Ok ok, not just the hookah, more food!!

We found this little gem after a late night class at CSUDH and we were so pleasantly surprised with the food, the service, and the interior of it that I can't wait to go back. There is a dining area and beyond that is a really nice lounge for hookah that is so much more chill and cleaner than other hookah lounges in the area. After we ordered they brought our food out to us so we could enjoy our hookah and relax after our first day of classes. The food we ate was just awesome - grape leaves were soft and juicy, falafel wasn't too dry, and the wraps were perfect - not greasy at all. I want to thank the owner and runners who were so accommodating and happy to serve even though it was past 10 pm. I'll absolutely be back for lunch and dinner!

Yum! Food is delicious and prices are reasonable and I love the fact that they're just down the street from my work.  I've only had the #9 combo trio entree, and I cant wait to try the others as well.  They also serve breakfast and have a great selection to choose from. Haven't been to their hookah lounge yet, but thats on my to-do list in a few weeks with my co-workers!

I have only tried the Gyro Wrap and it is really tasty.  I always get the potatoes instead of the salad. They are just spicy enough. Can't wait to try the hookah bar one night.

Thank Duane G for recommended this place on my lunch break, not only was I pleasantly surprised the international food court will have me running back for more.

The Green Olive may be a little expensive for lunch but it more then makes up for that in quality and portions!!!

High quality food and quick service

I just moved into an office nearby. This is one of my favorite places in the food mall. I've tried the Pho place and the Japanese place there too.
The prices are very reasonable. I always make 2 meals out of my order, but then again, I don't like feeling stuffed during lunch.
The staff is friendly and the food is sooooo good. Yummy! Everyone else in my office raves about this place too.
I would give it 5 stars but the atmosphere there is sort of depressing (but to it's defense, so is EVERY single place in that mini mall). It's also hot in there. I'm sure in the winter or late fall, it will be much better to sit around in there. Otherwise, I recommend taking it back to your nice air conditioned office.

This is my other favorite lunch place.. The owner usually recognizes you & even ask if you want same dish.. Haha.. He knows what I usually order.. The salmon special which you get 2 huge salmon skewered mixed w/ vegetables along w/ salad & pita bread..

It not only taste good, it's gooood for you.. It's usually more than what I would pay for lunch but hey, it's good for you..

Place gets packed during lunch. Will have to come early like 11:45 am or after 1 pm for lunch if you do not want to wait for a table.

Only complain during hot weather is the place gets kind of hot & not sure if the A/C is on or it's not set on cold...

Since the weather will not be an issue now for being autumn now, I suppose I will come by more often ...

Really good restaurant that just opened, recommend to come during lunch hour! Food is 5 stars and the service is 5 stars. They have some T.V's and they accept plastic and cash. This place is really good!!!

Great lunch spot! I work just down the street from this place and was thrilled when they first opened up. The food is very good and portions are a bit more generous than some of the other Greek/Mediterranean restaurants I've been to. I concur with that everything is very fresh.

The decor is rather plain and lackluster, and parking can be a pain at lunch time since it's located in a small plaza with a bunch of other restaurants and businesses. Aside from that, it's definitely worth a visit!

Their spicy meat balls oh...So good.
yellow rice, VEry good as well.
Love that they give you the cucumber yogurt dip with almost every order (for free)
Only thing I wasn't too impressed with was the falafels.
Also, I wish the desserts weren't so expensive

i used yelp to find a place near my job that had gyros and i found this place. I got a gyros with no tomatoes and i have to say it was pretty good. It came with a side of potatoes that were good too.

I will for sure be going back to try more stuff but if your looking for a good gyro, this place is for you.

Got the chicken shish kabob lunch special.  Chicken was very dry and stringy.  The green sauce was very good, however, and the only thing that saved this lunch from the trash bin.  Rice was ok and I'm not a big fan of the hummus that came with it.

This place just opened up and I'm so glad I decided to give it a try! I ordered #6 which was the gyro combo and it was so delicious. I gobbled up everything on my plate, There aren't very many places to eat around this area (I work a few blocks away) and I was glad to see a Mediterranean place open up. It seems the food court here has a high turn around, but I hope this place stays! And they take American Express...awesome! I will definitely be a regular here.

I came into the plaza actually for another cuisine, but wandered here instead.  Glad I did.

I ordered the "People's Choice" combo with chicken & falafel, along with a bottle of water.  To my surprise, they carried my favorite hawaiian brand beverages as well!

Food was prepared right before my eyes, behind the counter.  I like to know that my food is fresh,  so kudos to that aspect.

The food was great: tender chicken kabob & the falafel was on point - not overly deep fruited, but still most on the inside.

The owner greeted me & I asked if they just opened.  He explained that  this location just opened yesterday, which explains the lack of a yelp profile.  He thanked me for trying to check in & gave me baklava for free - score!!!

    I will be back =)
