We walked here after a UK game at Rupp Arena and had a great time. Even though it was freezing out, we sat in the back patio/bar area and were toasty thanks to all the heaters.

I started with the Ultimate Kentucky Martini made with Woodford Reserve bourbon and it was delicious. I love Kentucky bourbon martinis!

Next, I couldn't resist trying the grilled wedge salad as I have a thing for them and had never had one grilled. It is served on a bed on Dijon vinaigrette which was very good, but I also had to get blue cheese crumbles because I think all wedge salads need blue cheese. The bacon crumbles just took it over the top.

Even though I could have made a meal out of that wedge salad, I didn't stop there. I also really wanted to try one of their pizzas and our server recommended the Greek. With spinach, feta, and kalamata olives I knew that I would love it and I wasn't disappointed. I really like the thin, crispy crust of the Grey Goose's pizzas.

I will be very happy to stop by the Grey Goose again next time I'm in Lexington!

Great place to dine for a less crowded, classier evening. The ambiance is undeniable. Plus they have Bourbon Barrel Ale on draft!!

Great little place with a nice patio.  The pizza I ordered (had an egg on it) was outstanding, though I think the egg was a bit overcooked (for Italian food, not for breakfast).  I would love to go back and try another kind. I bet they are all good. I would recommend trying this little pizza shop.

When we lived in downtown Lexington my husband and I loved to come here for a drink and order a pepperoni pizza. The thin crust is really delicious and perfect for a late night snack. I also loved the local homemade cheesecakes created by Sweet Revenge Baking Company.

The patio is by far the best in town. I had my baby shower here in April and I was very pleased with the food and service! They were extremely accommodating and I am so happy to have picked The Grey Goose to celebrate one of the most memorable moments in our life. Our guests loved the pizza, appetizers, and cocktails.

The Grey Goose will definitely be our first stop when we come back to visit our friends and family in Lexington. We love Jeff Wheeler and his awesome staff!

They are known for their pizza?  I'm really glad that I didn't try anything else of their menu then.

We were in town for a conference and had discovered Jefferson Street a few evenings prior.  Our last meal in town was at Grey Goose, and it wasn't the note I wanted to leave Lexington on.

It is such a cute location.  The ambiance is lovely both indoors and out, and the location (Jefferson Street) is fantastic.  The service was great too!

So why the two starts?  The food.  I'm sorry, I not only was I not impressed with the pizza, I actually felt ill afterwards.  Thin crust pizza is my fav, so I was sort of excited to try this famous pizza.  It isn't thin, it's a tortilla.  Which is fine, if you like that.  We shared the pesto.  There was so much oil that it was a fixture on both the top of the pizza, and underneath.  There wasn't much flavor, and did not seem hand tossed.  More, pre-fab frozen and thrown in the oven when we put our order with the friendly server.  The cheese wasn't even melted.  I'm not sure how a pizza crust can cook without melting the cheese.  Hence my pre-fab- frozen hypothesis.  One of my colleagues had the black bean burger which was good.  Not great, not bad, but fine.

This seems like a great spot for drinks - cute and great service.  I just wouldn't come here to eat again.

I really enjoy this place. I have been numerous times and every time have really loved it, even when sitting at the bar. The only real problem I have with it is that when you walk in it is kind of awkward because you are not sure what to do, I am socially  awkward already and weird so this always is a confusing time for me. Anyway, other than the awkward walk in I love it. The atmosphere is great, the pizza is great, and I love that they have mini corn dogs. I took my best friend here on her birthday, her first time, and she had a great time.

Cozy, warm interior with lots of exposed brick and wood.  Good service even though almost all the tables were full when my three friends and I arrived.  I really enjoyed the special of the night, a bbq chicken pizza -- tasty toppings and an excellent crust that was obviously made by hand, thin and crisp yet light.  Also had an above-average caesar salad with dressing that was definitely house-made, not out of a bottle.

I was in Lexington for a conference and sought this place out with some colleagues on a Saturday for a lunch break, because I read that it did some serious thin-crust artisanal pizza.  We ordered a cheese pizza and one with artichokes and feta and roasted peppers.  I thought both were great, especially the one with artichokes.  My impression from the menu was that they'd use fresh mozzarella for the cheese pizza, but that was definitely not the case.  Crust and pizza toppings were very good, all the same.  They had some good beers on tap.  Food is tops here.  Every stage of the process took a long time, however.  I think we sat with menus many minutes before the waitress asked if we wanted water or whatever to drink.  I think it took them at least 20-25 minutes to make the pizzas (odd, as thin crust pizza cook quickly).  Water refills, getting the bill, everything took a long time.  But the patio atmosphere was nice, and we were not seriously inconvenienced.  Just budget an extra half hour or so.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the Grey Goose when I had dinner here on Saturday evening.  The first time I visited was immediately after it had opened, and I was not particularly impressed.  However, on Saturday it was immediately evident that the restaurant had made some major changes for the better.

I love the atmosphere of this place.  It's cozy, but the large patio area also allows for big group gatherings.  The patio is huge and lovely.  The bars--both inside and outside--made for a very pleasant evening, and there is a significant collection of both vegetarian and vegan options on the menu.

I will definitely be returning throughout this summer.  Lovely restaurant.

Had lunch here with some friends. Food as pretty good and service was friendly. I thought their menu had some fresh new ideas. I would recommend you giving this place a try if you are looking for something new.

Curious to find a place in Lexington, that reminds me of home and then I stumble onto Jefferson St. With several choices to pop into, I decided to walk into the Grey Goose Bar.

The place was a quarter full, well being a Tuesday night and a small city I shouldn't except much.  I grabbed a seat at the bar and I was interested to see what, if any, local beers they had.  Assuming there wasn't really a choice judging by what the locals were drinking(your typical Lite Lager), I was surprised.  The Barista offered me their Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, which I would say was amazing.  I also had their Bourbon burger, another great choice.  My taste buds had a sensational night.

There was really nothing bad about this place, other than the fact it was somewhat empty.  My two drinks and dinner were around $18 which is reasonable.  I love to see this place on the weekend and the type of people it attracts.

Nothing outstanding about this place. Pizza is almost translucently thin but wasn't bad when folded upon itself. It did have a nice crispy crust that would do well with a side of marinara or something to dip in. A one sided menu with limited choices. No problems with the service.
You won't be dissatisfied, but you might be able to find better.

Is this place sponsored by Grey Goose vodka? If not, what's with all the signage? Awful and uninspired beer list. Not a very good burger. Not good fries. Pizzas are ok.

A Lexington treasure.  This is a fairly new restaurant, with an absolutely amazing patio.  Great menu and a great bar.  I had the pizza it was a thin crust pizza with a little doughy taste, totally awesome!  Also we tried the brocolli bites and they were really good too.  This is really a cool place to sit and talk about whatever may be on your mind, they had some great music playing in the background which offered conversation privacy.  I love this place it is going to be one of my regular stops from now on!

First time here and definitely a pleasant experience.. We came as a group of 6 for a small birthday gathering. They had a small parking lot across the street, which was very convenient! They don't take reservations but we were able to find seating outside as we arrived around 9.30pm.  Patio was large enough for at least 10 tables and service was very quick. They have a good selection of pizzas, sandwiches , salads and appetizers. I had a thin crust blue cheese/bacon/sweet onion pizza with a nice cocktail- it was delicious! All  of our orders came on time and we were pretty happy with the taste. I normally enjoy places with live music but not having music at Grey Goose didn't bother me at all because we actually enjoyed some good conversation along with our food..It was definitely a relaxing start to a fun Friday night..The only thing I didn't like was that some larger tables (like ours) didn't have as much lighting as the others and at times I couldn't see my food that well !!!
Other than that, I left with a good impression of the place. Looking forward to going back again!

I was a little cautious about this joint but it surprised me. They have an adorable patio in the back with heat lamps, a full bar and TVs.  Service was great. We challenged the bar tenders to make uncommon drinks and while they weren't always per the recipe, they were tasty and we had no problem devouring one of their flatbread pizzas. Highly recommended.

I was once a delivery man in this area of Lexington. The Grey Goose bar is in what was once Ballard's market. A small old grocery store. We snuck in with about 5 minutes left in the KY/Ga. basketball game. We immediately spotted 2 open tables, but didn't know if they seated you or not. We waited long enough and picked a table and then some wait staff appeared . We discovered a menu  with a great variety of appetizers. There is a large selection of wines with most about $5 per glass. A large selection of domestic and imported beers from 2.75 to 4.50 per glass. We ordered the beer cheese platter which includes beer cheese, crackers and an assortment of vegetables. Next came the veggie pizza. A thin crust wood oven baked pizza with bubbles in it to mop up the extra beer cheese. The interior is cozy, but so many people came in after the game you could actually feel the temperature drop in the place. The place became quite noisy then. It was a nice dinner though.Nice to see service still available under less than ideal or changing conditions.I will be going back soon to experience more , but probably not on game day. The cost of the evening with appetizer, pizza, a glass of wine and a beer was under $35. My date enjoyed herself here. That is also a plus for them. Bobby C recommends this place!

The Grey Goose as a place  is 5 stars! This is a neighborhood bar that is on its way to becoming a " where everyone knows your name" place! The owner is truly friendly, not just seemingly so, and goes out of his way to be accommodating. The wait staff is attentive, but not intrusive and food is brought out as soon as the kitchen can get it ready, which does vary with the size of the crowd. If you tend to impatience try it first on a weeknight and not when there is a concert or game at Rupp.
On the other hand the food keeps it from getting 5 stars. The wings are great ; the burgers are great and so are the fries. The pizza is perhaps up to individual tastes to rate: ultra thin crust, very Chef Boyardee flavored sauce, but a nice selection of toppings.Mini corndogs were good.
After having the best appletini ever at Jakes Cigar Bar in Nicholasville, my appletini at Grey Goose was not drinkable, nor was my husband's G&T, but the place was admittedly slammed and perhaps the regular bartender was off that night. However, a nice selection of very cold draft beer will solve any potential problem you may encounter.
The ladies bathroom allows one at a time, but there is a chair outside in a nook area for one to wait. It is surprisingly large and pretty with a huge mirror.
Overall this is a first rate gathering place. So glad we found it.

What I don't like:  no reservations, no hostess, and most importantly no method to keeping track of who gets the next table.  Basically you just hover over diners hoping you've picked the next table to vacate.  Seems like they could manage the seating process better.

Wings were good, and one of the two pizzas we ordered was great.  The second pizza was pretty burned.  I'm actually surprised they brought it to the table because it was banged up.

This place has potential but they have a JV squad working both the front and back of the house.

Another reason to love Jefferson Street!!

I remember when this building was totally empty and up for grabs and thinking what a cool place somebody could put in here-- now they have!

They really did a great job on the inside, it's cozy and classy, with just a few well placed flat screen tvs that don't detract from the good vibes of the place at all. We were able to check out some of the last of the olympics the night we went.

The night we went in, the place was totally packed due to an event at Rupp. There were families with kids, lots of couples, some singles too. Everyone was having a great time by the looks of it, I was really struck by what a happy vibe was going on. It was noisey, but in the sort of way that makes you comfortable to bring your kids, or to say something questionable without having the next table hear you. Ha.

My husband got a blue cheese burger and I ordered a pizza, which was a ton more food than we needed, but who doesn't want leftover pizza?

The burger was great- perfectly cooked at mid-rare as requested, with blue cheese a plenty oozing off the top. The fries were krinkle cut, so I'm not sure if they do that there or just get them pre-cut, but they were fried up just right, explosively crisp on the outside, tender inside. Just salt, no seasonings.

My pizza was very thin crusted, with fresh whole milk mozzarella that had bubbled and oozed up just right.

I had a gin and tonic that was just right, and my husband enjoyed a selection of beers, and was pleased at the offerings.  I would LOVE to swing in here and grab a drink before a show again sometime soon, or to linger for dinner. The pizza was great! I am so happy to have more tasty Americana in Lex!! I can't think of another local joint that makes a hamburger worth eating.

If I understand correctly, they have a lot for parking across the street too.

Definitely put GG at the top of your list of place to try!

Stopped in here for the first time last weekend and was surprised to find it so crowded! The atmosphere and decor is cozy and classy, with exposed brick and polished hardwood. Drinks were reasonably priced and servers were friendly, if a bit distracted - not surprising considering how busy it was. Didn't eat, but the food that went by looked great. Will probably go back once the outdoor seating opens up and takes care of some of the crowding.

New and clean, this bar is a nice place to grab a drink after work, as they currently cater to an older crowd than most Lexington bars. But it's still so new that who knows what it'll be like in a year. They do have comfortable outdoor seating and lots of good beer and whisky behind the bar for the discriminating drinker.

    Cheers!
