If you're at Canyon Lodge @ Mammoth Mountain, this bar is the go-to (and only) bar. Located on the 2nd floor, it's typically packed and you'll be lucky to get a seat (I rarely do). Â There are TVs above the bar and on the other side, you have a good view of the mountain. It's a nice place to watch the fireworks display at the annual Night of Lights parade. Wish it was a bit bigger (the space is pretty narrow) but it makes for a good meeting place if you're on that side of the mountain.
Review Source:there must have been something in the air the night i wandered into the grizzy to find a corner to sit alone. first of all it was the night of lights and i was positioned on the third floor balcony overlooking awesome fireworks and snow pyrotechnics by the professional ski and snowcat teams. definitely the best seats to watch the show. second, to my surprise everyone started to accuse me of being a local and then wanted to buy me drinks. i offered money to the bartenders, but they said no way. wtf? i'm not a drinker, but after three beers and three shots, including some kind of "bomb" contraption, i was three sheets to the wind and telling people "no mas! no mas!". they wanted my phone number, they wanted to ride with me on the mountain...everyone was friendly and giving and telling me how i look like someone they know. it was a blast. i probably could not have ordered a better night out after a day of fresh powder off the 22. and when i woke up the next morning, i understood why they called it the grizzly.
