This place is always our go to place for take out Chinese food. In comparison to the other take out Chinese establishments in Lafayette this place is the best one yet, but I'm not so sure if that says much.
The food here is good, along with the specials and variety, but sometimes the sanitary and cleanliness factors always make me hesitate eating here haha.
The service here is so-so it really just depends on who is working.
Overall, this is an okay place to eat, but definitely carry out and cross your fingers it's a good day at Happy China!
I've never eaten in the restaurant, I've only used their delivery service. I have to say, twice now I've ordered multiples of an item, and they always send just one. I have friends over and we wanted 3 orders of dumplings, and they only sent one. So one of my friends and I had to go without, the delivery guy wasn't too apologetic about it either. He said he'd call the restaurant and send someone else out, but that was over an hour ago and we haven't even received an apology phone call. I keep ordering from them because the food is actually really good, but I probably won't order from them again, it's just super annoying.
Review Source:I was very pleased with Happy China. Their sweet and sour chicken was amazing and the quantity was ungodly. I could barely finish the entire meal. Their General Tso's chicken is also delicious. Happy China frequently has great deals through Hungry Boiler, which makes the experience even better. This restaurant has cheap lunch specials and the atmosphere has no problems. Their is enough seating within the business and can accommodate a reasonable amount of people if staying in to eat your meal. If you are looking for a slightly higher quality of fast Chinese food, then I would recommend Happy China if in the landing area.
Review Source:Their General Tso's was delicious! I ordered delivery, which only took half an hour out to college station. Cheap price, great food, large portion. I'm very particular about chinese-american dishes, but this was well done.
I'm done with Rice Cafe. Â They take too long to deliver and are over priced (they do make good food though).
One of the best Chinese takeout places that you will find around Purdue. Â The place is clean, the staff is extremely friendly, and the food tastes great every time. Â I have never used their delivery service, so I won't comment on it, but otherwise I love eating Chinese from this place. Â Also, the portions are great for the price. Â Usually I can get 2 or 3 meals out of one of their combo deals.
I love their General Tso's combo. Â Five stars as far as Chinese takeout goes.
I would give this place 0 stars if I could due to their sanitation violations.
I live right above the place and went to eat there a couple times when I first moved into my apartment. The last time I ate there, I found a wasp in my food and then noticed one of the cook takes his hand and put it in the garbage to stuff it down and then proceed back to cooking.
Happy China is by far the cleanest American Chinese restaurant in town. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. Delivery service sometimes takes longer than you would think, but when the food finally arrives, you'll forget the wait while you devour the excellent food. The lunch menu is ridiculously inexpensive for the amount of food.
Review Source:Happy China is just like every other Americanized Chinese restaurant. Â I like this place best because it is clean and the food is consistently good. Â I think this place is the best for lunch. Â You can get a main dish, appetizer and plain or fried rice for about 5 dollars. Â That is enough to feed two people! Â One of the most affordable lunches you can get.
