Happy Joe's

I went in for a lunch buffet at 12:30 , They wanted nine dollers , including a driink , I thought it had to be wonderfull, so I went to look at what they offered , first.
I am glad I did.

Disappointment does not convey my sentiment.
The area where the food offering was, was tiny and filthy, food scattered everywhere,
there was a bucket with empty bowls of nothing on the other side, three empty pizza platters, and three with two pieces of pizza on them.

One could drive over to Dynesty in north davenport and get 15 times the food choices,
This happy Joes needs a visit ( or six ) from the home office  and the health board.

Remember Shakey's Pizza? I think there's only one left on the East Coast and it's been probably 16 years or more since I've been to one. I remember really liking it as a kid so I've wanted to have some again for many years now, though I suspected I probably wouldn't like it as much as an adult.

Well, Happy Joe's was founded by a former Shakey's employee, and when I had it, it looked and tasted identical to how I remembered Shakey's-- and as I suspected, I didn't like it nearly as much as when I was a kid. That bein said, it was still pretty good and definitely worth it just for the nostalgia factor. Great thin crust pizza. Love their vegetarian pizza!
