This place needs some work on the inside, but it's a great place to hang out with a few friends and knock a couple drinks back.  New owner plus new management !!  Owner is very friendly and the frequent flyers are all nice and entertaining!  Bartenders are sweet and know you on a first name basis !  They serve Filipino food.  Awesome sizzling sisig!  The chef has a few tricks up his sleeve so requests can be made!

Happy hour is from 5-9 pm on beers and shots.  Beers are all $3 and selected shots are $5 (Jamison and Hennessy shots for $5, wow!!!).  There's also happy hour food (lumpia, calamari, and fried chicken) for $5.

On game days, they show basketball, football, and baseball games.

They also have karaoke!  The book may not be up to date but when you have enough to drink, Journey and Beach Boys will be there to keep yourself and everyone else entertained !

Overall , it's a great bar/restaurant. They're located near Town and country billboards right across from the Walgreens.  It's a hidden treasure of Daly City and I will be back!!!

Where do I start, the owners back then had this place on its feet! Weekends were always full, music always playing sometimes even live DJs. NOW its new owners its dead, no music and the fried calamari taste like pancake flour. GROSS. Other then that drinks are ok there fried chicken was good, I live near by so I know its just not the same.

I'd be back, no lie, no fear (Though, my stomach is telling me otherwise at the moment).

I got to go on the recommendation of my friend Hong, after we were laying around debating where to go grab food + drinks before a movie last night. She's been talking this place up for awhile now, as her neighbor opened up this bar + grill place a few months back. I offered to drive over, as it was getting chilly, and we are all lazy.

Hard Hats was EMPTY, and I was worried for a bit about her glowing reviews until I realized that the Pacquiao fight was on, and this is Daly City. (The owner came by later and said he had wanted to broadcast the fight, but apparently as a business, he would have had to pay out the ass for the privilege, and so he declined)

Waitress comes over, and nervously asks us what we want; hopefully, she will feel more comfortable with time in this space, realizing that this is a laid back venue, and the people coming in just want to have a good time. Drinks were ordered (apparently, the Nom Nom is on point - just ask for it), and we also grabbed some Lumpia, Sisig, and these heart-attack inducing 'Ruffles'. Dear. God. The food was nice and hot, and spicy and peppery, and I'm definitely curious to come back and order more things off the menu; Filipino food isn't a specialty of mine, and this is probably a good place to learn a little more.

The food came out quickly, the owner (I would give you his name, but I hate mis-spelling things, so you'll have to live without) comped a drink on the table, and we listened to what will potentially be the house band warming up in the back space; Hard Hats is just big enough to handle something like this, and I think the live music will help draw in more people. This part of Daly City needs more options, and hopefully Hard Hat will stick around and bring some life in.
