Val's Restaurant & Lounge

Our Family has come here a few times over the years and every experience has been great. I agree that the decor might not be as modern as some other Restaurants but it is still nice and has a cozy feel. I had the Teriyaki Chicken and Wild Rice Pilaf which was very tasty. The price is Average. We will definitely be coming back.

I was craving pancakes and eggs and ended up here.

Val's is a pretty cozy place. Very diner-esque and reminds me of the 70s and 80s times. It's a place perfect for a low key, quick, and quality brunch. I noticed a lot of patrons were retirees. Must be favorite for locals.

It was a little strange when I asked the waiter where the restroom was and he told me to go between two sliding doors. So I did. After I left did I realize it was a private party AND there was another bathroom that the waiter should have, but didn't, direct me to.

I ordered the two scrambled eggs with ham and toast. It was a HUGE portion. I wanted hash browns, but they don't have that. However, those potatoes that come with the two eggs are so good. Perfectly seasoned. The eggs were cooked just right, not too dry. My friend had the eggs benedict and rather liked his meal.

this place is not what u expect.  first of all the whole restaurant is dark, uninviting with small windows and carpeted walls.  needs a remodel.  the menu selection is incredibly small, not enough food choices.  im all for a concise menu, but Val's is just too small.  i paid $18 for pan seared filet of sole, not nearly worth the price.  the food is not horribly mind you. its simply a bit overpriced with not enough options.  I would rather go to Joe's of Westlake, but i have not crossed Val's off my list.
