Was brought here by a Metal show that was happening tonight. Otherwise me being from Staten Island, I wouldn't have even heard of this little bar. The bands were awesome, the music was good and I had a blast! That was the positive.
From speaking with the locals of Arlington NJ, "the bartenders treat you nice if you treat them nice." OK I'm nice to everyone and I must say that the place was not packed and it took forever to get a drink because the bartenders were socializing and taking pics, not a problem. When I finally did get to order my drink there was a huge bug in it! We all laughed about it, again, not a big deal. They made me another drink. The female bartender VICKY was very nasty she threw drinks into the crowd. She came across as A low class girl who could of had assault charges pressed against her had any of whom she hit with drinks had filed. This girl should not be working, she appears to not want to serve customers, she made racists comments which costumers including myself heard. I didn't say a word to her except to ask for a drink which I never received. I ended up walking out after the show and will never step foot in that bar again. I will tell my friends and co workers about the awful service.
This may be a decent place when two of The 3 Stooges aren't bartending there. I hope to get in contact with the Manager; Joe regarding his employees behavior.
PS. If you are miserable and do not like your job then quit and let someone more qualified do it! Please learn how to treat your Customers, we give You business. Also, It says a great deal about management to have people with no social skills working in this type of setting. How disappointing but oh well she's STILL a miserable bartender lol and I'm still me! ; ) and this will be sent to the Better Business Bureau.
I live about 4 blocks away form this little bar, I have to say I do like it. It's not fancy but it's clean, the drinks are good and cheap, the bartenders are always nice, (Denise is my favorite). They have food, but I have not tried it, that will be my next adventure. My only complaint is the juke box is kind of pricey, a dollar a song, so not a lot of folks play it. I just wish they played more music in between people playing the juke box to get rid of the awkward silences.
They have a great selection of booze.
If this place had bands, I would never leave the neighborhood.
