Came here on a Monday night. Â Friendly and beautiful bartenders and only $7.50 for a pitcher of Bud Light. Â What else can I ask for and hence the 5 stars. Â To boot, they have a nice LEGIT massage place next door. Â So, after I finished my pitcher, I got a nice two-hour relaxing massage. Â LOL!
Review Source:Normally I LOVE THIS PLACE !!!! Been coming here every weekend for at least 8 years but today Cinco de Mayo was ruined by a rude bartender named Christie... Her & her 2 co-workers drank jello shots, rasberry vodka bombs & 1 other drink within the 15 mins I had 1 beer & then she flipped out on me becuz I asked her a question about my bill, so she says rudely "I will take your discount at the end but Thanks for telling me how to do my job!!".... I said nothing of the sort & yet the bartender b4 her had no problem charging me correctly... She then threw my credit card at me & walked away talking smack to the other bartenders like I did something wrong.. wth ? No one has ever treated me like that there -- at Harveys Sports Bar.
Review Source:Strong drinks. My cranberry vodkas look light pink! Not gonna argue with that.
Pitchers are $11.50 so its easy to get caught up buying rounds! It's got a divey feel to it. The tiny popcorn machine is a huge plus and they're really good about making more!
No need to dress to impress, just a nice kick it spot with good friends and an awesome jukebox.
Swing by for sure!
First of all, it's located in a plaza with a small parking lot, be prepared drive around a bit. Â Highlights are the cheap drinks & the 50 cent mini billiards tables. Â It's a small bar that gets packed on the weekends. Â Great for relaxing without having to think about if you're wearing appropriate shirt & shoes.
Review Source:As an other reviewer mentioned, don't come here by yourself. The 3 bartenders, a tall blond, the owner, and a short brunette made no effort to talk. I never took it personally, but being friendly is part of bartending 101.
The crowd on a friday evening was mostly afterwork cliques and regulars.
Definitely try to come here with friends, as there are pool tables and several small tv's to watch  a game.
I would like to know if this is true... does everyone that work for the restaurants in downtown disney go here or to harveys everytime???? according to my friend he said that everyone does. I personally think its just him, i cant imagine people going tothe bars everynight unless ur a alcoholic.
Review Source:This is a dive bar but a good one. The bar tenders are friendly, they make great conversation with you. The drinks are cheap. Seems like a place that tends to have a lot of regulars. Although its some what of a hole in the wall I was shocked that it was very clean. If you're looking for a chill night of drinking, conversation, and music this is your place.
Review Source:this is a great spot that gets really busy, good strong drinks and they are CHEAP!!!!! 4 bucks for a capt and coke??? can you say awesome or what. 2 pool tables....and there are some great pool plays that hang at this play...lots of room ok juke box could be better lots of tables.....its a pretty coo place a lot of regulars go to.
Review Source:Great dive, great prices. Pitchers of beer were only $10 and mix drinks about $5. On a Tuesday night, most that you see here would be locals as this place is probably more of a locals bar than anything else. There are also 2 pool tables and relatively clean restrooms. I'd come back if I had like 3 or 4 friends and wanted to down a few beers. I wouldn't come here to try to meet people though since I saw more couples and cliche-y groups, but maybe it's different on a Friday or Saturday night.
Review Source:The place to BE! I LOVE RANDYYY!!
Your night isn't great until you drop by. Man I've seen some good fights, fun times, singing crowds, just memories build as the minutes fly by.The bartenders are pretty chill, Tony is the nicest bar tender ever not to mention awesome :D. Trevor is absolutely awesome!! The busiest night of the week I would say is Wednesday not sure why but it get's packing. Drinks are hella cheap and the crowd is always pretty interesting there's some funky characters up in here but they create some laughter which is always good. the jukebox is up to date theres always good music playing as the night goes by it just gets better and better. I absolutely love this damn bar!
This is a hole in the wall place but I really like it. Â I have been there several times but wouldn't call myself a regular. Â Every time I go there are people shooting pool so if you like to shoot you should always find someone to shoot against there and some of them pretty decent shots. Â The place has a great selection of beers on tap including Guiness and most of the bartenders know how to pour it correctly. Â All of the bartenders are friendly even the one that I assumed was going to be a crotchety old man was actually very nice. Â You can tell the regulars all know each other this is a local hangout for sure!
Review Source:This place is right down the street from my house, so it's likely that I'll come back to see if its the same experience.
Its an older crowd. Its a dive bar. Â Very very small. And its NOT a sports bar! If they want to call themselves a sports bar, fine, but you will get minimal stars for it.
This place only has one or two tvs, and while I was there they didnt have any games on (even though it was Sat mid day - and plenty of baseball games were going ... including the local Dodgers/Angels games).
Country music played the entire time I was there.
The only plus of this place is the drinks are cheap! Great prices, and free popcorn. Thats why this place got two stars instead of one.
After a long days work, shitty tippers, and dining room drama, this place has become like a second home for me.
I came here in the days when it was still known as Captain Bombay's and I still love it as much as I did back then.
This bar has a very cozy atmosphere and stiff drinks. The bar staff is amazing and welcome you with sunny dispositions and my regular jack and coke.
I've become a regular here and I still love it day after day. It may not be fancy and filled with plush lounge tables and fancy cocktails, but if you're looking for a relaxing drink after a hard day at work if you work in the Anaheim area then this is definitely the place to be.
My only ciritisism for this place would be that sometimes the juke box is too loud and I can barely hear myself when I'm talking. However if you ask nicely enough and bat your eyes a little they'll lower it down for you ahaha.
Great bar staff , cozy atmosphere , inexpensive great drinks.
Not trendy at all, this is a great place for a couple friends to go have drinks without burning a hole in their wallets.
I like this place, every time I go I really enjoy it :)
Melissa is my favorite bartender, she's amazing !
Great little hole in the wall bar to hang out in during the week.
Two pool Tables, and a full bar. Great Juke Box, and Bartenders. The drinks are a little $$ for a dive, but beer is pretty cheap.
There is a awkward smoking area that may or may not be extra parking spots along the side of the building.
The womens Bathroom has HUGE mirrors, and usually pretty clean.
Seating is kind of limited due to the fact that the Pool Tables take up a lot of room.
All in all this place is "A-Ok".
This place wins me over time and time again. If you are in need of a quick drink this is the place to be.
Its super convenient considering the fact that its only a 10 min drive from Disneyland. Many people who work at DTD frequent this place to get away from everything mouse related.
This place is simple. Jukebox, pool tables, bar, and pretty decent bathrooms for a dive.
Last time the bartender saw me scavenging for the last bits of popcorn in the popcorn machine, he then popped a new batch and replaced my basket without saying anything. How awesome is  that?
Harvey's is the new name for Captain Bombay's....so I had to copy and paste my review for unsuspecting customers!
Double ew! I HAD to update my review to say more bad things!
First of all, Captain Bombay's has been changed to Harvey's Sports Bar...so keep that in mind. I didn't think much would change after the remodel but boy, was I wrong! Upon entering, I was greeted by a chola with 5 inch long roots giving me the look of death smoking outside...fun! It was abnormally PACKED in the bar, and not with a good crowd. We stood at the bar for about 3 minutes and the bartender (good ole' crabmeister) was busy...not making other drinks but sorting through paperwork, wtf? I glanced at my friends with "the" look and we didn't even have to say anything, we all just proceeded back out to the parking lot. But that's not all! There had to be a creeper following us out telling us not to leave...wow.
Goodbye Captain Bombay's...I will miss you....well maybe not.
