Hi Point Coffee & Cafe

We came here at the recommendation of a friend and were so glad we did.  I've read some of the other reviews and wonder if the writers were even in the same place & I can't understand how you can criticize serving coffee in a glass - that writer obviously hasn't been to Europe.  Anyway, we had a great breakfast here two days in a row.  The service was great, very friendly and helpful.  The food was delicious and well presented.  One day, I had the roasted veggie scramble with bacon and a fruit salad.  Lovely presentation and flavor, plus the fruit was so fresh and seasonal, with a light ginger & mint syrup.  My husband had the breakfast burrito and received extra jalapenos for his meal, which he loved.  The next day, my husband tried the Sunday brunch, which was a Mexican theme and really loved it, especially the homemade re-fried beans.  I had the poached eggs and pot roast (yes, I know, pot roast is a dinner thing, but it was so good).  And I loved the foccacia toast - nice change from wheat or sour dough.  I don't drink coffee, but my husband liked their selection and I loved all the teas they offered.  Often, when we go to a coffee shop, I only get to chose from one or two - they had a great selection of regular and herbal. We don't live in Reno, but brought some local friends both days and they were excited to find a good place on this side of town.   We will certainly be back and I have already started recommending it to everyone I know.  Thanks, Hi Point, for a great start to the day!

Hi Point was surprisingly great. I thought because of the signage out on McCarran that this place was going to be nothing too amazing. I was certainly proven wrong! I would recommend this cafe over any others in town. The theme of the cafe seems to be "community," they do a good job sticking to this theme with the decorations, local art, and message boards. (I am also a huge fan of the bicycle wheel wall). The food was outstanding, coffee great, and customer service would be near impossible to beat. The employees and owner of Hi Point were all very friendly and welcoming. We will be making this our new weekend place to eat from now on.

Great little coffee shop. Breakfast was delicious here on Saturday. The staff is very friendly and accommodating of specific requests and substitutions. Prices aren't bad either. We'll definitely be back!
