A friend advised our small group that we had to check this place out, so we did.
First and foremost, let me warn you that this place is just your average everyday brothel turned dive bar, so don't go in there all high and mighty....
That having been said, this is a fantastic dive bar. Half clean, half dirty, half filthy, it is the perfect place to go grab a beer with some friends.  Beer was cold (PBR tall boy) and came fast and with a smile.  The jukebox has a great selection and there was much ado about who and what the next song would be...they have several game rooms with air hockey, foosball, ping pong, pinball, etc....Lots of stuff to do if you are one of those crazy people that don't  like to just sit around and talk and drink and sing and dance in your chair.
I don't know if they even serve food...I had already eaten...
If you are in Breck and want a change from the ordinary, go have a beer at the brown and check out some of the pictures/papers on the walls as well...
We all change with the passage of time. I remember The Brown Hotel as the place I proposed to my wife on Valentine's Day, 1986. It was a fine restaurant then. We ordered a bottle of champagne to mark the occasion. The inexperienced server popped the cork and sprayed both of us with a cascade of champagne. We returned 10 years later, and the owners still remembered the event. Fond memories, but not sure we'll return this year for our 25th anniversary, given the other reviews. We'll make some new memories!
Review Source:this bar was easily my favorite haunt in Breck when i lived there. (r.i.p. sherpa and yetis) the drinks were stiff, the late night menu was legit. jambalaya and tater tots? sounds horrid, right? Wrong.
this place is great, and just off of main street, it's where locals head to unwind from being overrun by flocks of tourists from texas, and new jersey. no offense  jersey...but you know what i'm talking about. and texas?
suck it.
