From my visit, I assume that they have zero experience working with a busy Saturday night crowd. It took waaay too long to track down a bartender to get a few overpriced drinks. Â We thought we might warm up to the Jersey Shore crowd so we kept our tab open. When we realized we just couldn't handle the 60 second long techno songs and fist pumping, we decided to close our tab and move along. We waited for THIRTY MINUTES to get someone's attention to close out our tab. Eventually, we waved our hands obnoxiously while yelling at the bartender to close out.
Terrible service! WIll absolutely never return.
I get having local hook-ups; I'm from Tahoe... but check this:
first round from the girl bartender: Â Kettle One and a tall Coors Light $9
second round from the db in a white hat: Â
"Let me get a tall Coors Light please"
"That's $3"
... I pulled out a $5 to give him a $2 tip to grab and open a can of beer for me...
... his next response: Â "Where you from man?"
"California"
"Oh, that's $6 then."
"Are you for real? Â Since I'm not a local?
"Yup; that's why I asked."
Cool. Â Thanks bud.
Music was OK.
Small venue.
If I was a girl, I'd be happy because there was about 85% guys. Â As a guy, it sucked seeing only 1 good looking girl... and that could've been subjective since everyone else was ugly.
Smells like an old bar (which means it smells like mold... trust me; I bartended for years.)
I'd go across the street to Ollie's Sports Bar or LUCHA right downstairs.
I've been living in Breck for 4 years and own a business here, and I must say that LL is one of my favorites bars in town. To the out-of-staters who are dismayed by all the yo bro's... this is Breck, not Aspen or Beaver Creek. If you want to drink a glass of wine and talk about current events, go somewhere else. But, if you want to get rowdy like you did in college and not be judged for it, then Liquid is your bar. Definitely geared for the 21 - 35 demographic, and a great place to be a voyeur. Tall T's and all.
