From my visit, I assume that they have zero experience working with a busy Saturday night crowd. It took waaay too long to track down a bartender to get a few overpriced drinks. Â We thought we might warm up to the Jersey Shore crowd so we kept our tab open. When we realized we just couldn't handle the 60 second long techno songs and fist pumping, we decided to close our tab and move along. We waited for THIRTY MINUTES to get someone's attention to close out our tab. Eventually, we waved our hands obnoxiously while yelling at the bartender to close out.
Terrible service! WIll absolutely never return.
I get having local hook-ups; I'm from Tahoe... but check this:
first round from the girl bartender: Â Kettle One and a tall Coors Light $9
second round from the db in a white hat: Â
"Let me get a tall Coors Light please"
"That's $3"
... I pulled out a $5 to give him a $2 tip to grab and open a can of beer for me...
... his next response: Â "Where you from man?"
"California"
"Oh, that's $6 then."
"Are you for real? Â Since I'm not a local?
"Yup; that's why I asked."
Cool. Â Thanks bud.
Music was OK.
Small venue.
If I was a girl, I'd be happy because there was about 85% guys. Â As a guy, it sucked seeing only 1 good looking girl... and that could've been subjective since everyone else was ugly.
Smells like an old bar (which means it smells like mold... trust me; I bartended for years.)
I'd go across the street to Ollie's Sports Bar or LUCHA right downstairs.
I've been living in Breck for 4 years and own a business here, and I must say that LL is one of my favorites bars in town. To the out-of-staters who are dismayed by all the yo bro's... this is Breck, not Aspen or Beaver Creek. If you want to drink a glass of wine and talk about current events, go somewhere else. But, if you want to get rowdy like you did in college and not be judged for it, then Liquid is your bar. Definitely geared for the 21 - 35 demographic, and a great place to be a voyeur. Tall T's and all.
Review Source:The crowd is very unfriendly and the servers are not much better. Â If you are not a local there is absolutely no reason to be at this place and you will not be treated well. This is true in both summer and winter. Â Every time somebody I know goes to this place I have to hear about how bad it was for hours the next morning. Â To be avoided.
Review Source:Ha. I had a lot of fun here. My friends and I were really pleased with the music that was played this past weekend. Either someone told him or the dj just knew Htown, TX was in the house. He played some good jams that evening for us. It was wild. I was celebrating my 26th this weekend in Keystone/Breck and I definitely had a good time here. The place wasn't anything fancy but if you just want to just have some fun and kick it. Stop by here.
Review Source:Welcome to BroBra central. yes Breck is home to brobras and chickbras rocking their tall tees and new era caps like a couple of trendy ra-tards, talking half pipes, picking fights and asking forthe local's discount. Cecilia's, Liquid Lounge and Napper Tandy's are home to this. Expect nothing else but the smell of piss, sloppy sloppy drunks, heavy pours, expensive drinks (you may get double charged), and the decline of our civilization. With that said, have a blast get wasted and enjoy Breck. Its why you're here and you secretly love it. Out of the ridiculousness of it all--theres a good chance one of the kids you're bumping elbows with is a pro rider or olympic athlete. Cheers! Puke later! And overtip your server!
Review Source:"Are we in Jersey?"
I just couldn't stop pondering this question as I looked around the crowded place, taking in all the dudes who wore their hats and hoodies in just the right way to front their badass-ness. No offense to anyone from Jersey. Â ;)
The music was pumped by a dj, and brought back nightmares of high school dances.
Yes, watch out for the spot near the wall and pool table for the mysterious drip that smells like urine, and don't be overcome by the soggy carpet squishing under your feet.
However, after all that, if you're here in fun company, the cheesiness and meat market feeling could be overcome - I had a great time here!
So after we got literally pushed out of Cecilias we headed up the stairs to Liquid Lounge where most of these crazy kinds from Cecilia's ended up. Â Luckily it was a bit more mellow there. Â Saying that the bar was 3 people deep and the place was jam packed. Â The only area where you could enjoy a beverage maybe was by the pool table where you would get wet and not in a good way from the leaking pipe like thing attached to the ceiling. Â That thing dripped water on me and some others but I was one of the few not wasted enough to feel it.
