If you have not been to this Hooters in a while, it's worth another try. Â There is a new manager who really hustles - he is in the kitchen cracking the whip so the food comes out quickly, out in the dining room making sure customers are happy, keeping the jukebox playing, etc. Â The staff seems to follow his lead as we had the best service and food we've ever had there (and it has been spotty plenty of times in the past). Â He earned extra points from me because it was March Madness and we don't follow basketball, so he changed our TV to hockey instead.
We went early on a Saturday afternoon and the place was very clean. Â Don't know if it would still be like that at 10:00 p.m., but at least they started the day right.
It's a little disconcerting when you walk in and are greeted by a chorus of "Welcome to Hooters!" from a herd of nubile 20 year olds. Â My preference would be nubile 40 year olds if that's not an oxymoron, but I guess that would deviate from the Hooters brand. Â At least our waitress was intelligent and sincerely attentive and did not write her name on the napkin with the obligatory heart over the "i" like so many Brandis and Keishas before her.
I haven't been to a Hooters in over 5 years and we decided to go on a whim on a Saturday afternoon.
Pros: This Hooters was clean, lots of TV so no matter where you sat you could see 4-5 TV's. Waitresses were attentive and friendly. Parking was plenty and easy.
Cons:
Food was just OK but nothing special. We ordered chicken strips, hamburger, and dozen oysters, and 2 drinks each. With tip the bill came to $75 - ouch! For that price we could have gone to a nicer restaurant.
The "views" were nothing special, sure some were cute, but not gorgeous - maybe my memories of Hooters was influenced by the "urban myths", water cooler talk, and marketing of this chain.
Probably wont go back for another 5 years..
This is a hooters, so you know what to expect with the food.
I have been in there a couple of times a few things disappoint me. Â If you are going for a sports event be warned that they don't have a 60+ inch TV like most do, its a bunch of 25 inch LCDs around, but if you want the massive TV check out whethersfield.
I have been to this location on 3 seperate occasions and never been overly happy with the service. Â They never seem to really care about the customers like I felt like they did in Wethersfield. Â I would still go there if it wasn't for Manchester being 2 minutes away vs 25.
