Good food and a good price.
Always friendly staff and they have THE best cups...gotta collect them.
Try some of the specialty pizzas, the Dixie Chicken (Little Feet!) rocks.
All in all a great place...will remind you of Pizza Express in Bloomington (for obvious reasons).
Get it and enjoy!
I've been a fan of HotBox Pizza for years. While I would have to admit that they are a little pricier than most places, the quality of food definitely matches the price.
You really can't beat the Dixie Chicken Pizza and an order of their famous bread sticks. Also, if you are the patient sort and subscribe to their weekly email list they offer half off a different pizza each week. This being said, I wait until my favorite pizza is on special and get it for about $9.
Finally, the place is really designed for carryout and delivery, so don't go and expect to sit down and eat right away. They do have tables to eat at, but you will feel like you are eating at a gas station just like another reviewer noted.
P.s. Don't be afraid to try the crazier pizza concoctions on the menu, all of them are delicious.
If you've spent any amount of time Indy or Bloomington, I'm sure you've had HotBox Pizza. It's one of those staple chains that never feels like it's a chain. I haven't really broken out of the box with their menu yet. I pretty much always just stop here for my lunch break at work. I always get a 'Lunch Box'. It's quick & easy and always delicious!!
Review Source:When I am in Fishers and get a craving for breadsticks, there is absolutely no better place to go than Hot Box.
We occasionally order a large pepperoni pizza and two orders of breadsticks. The pizza is ok, it's not anything amazing and it really isn't bad either, it's just right at average. I have had their pizza the regular way and with light cheese, and to me the latter is better, just seems to be able to bring out more of the taste when there is less cheese present.
I could go on for pages about how amazing the breadsticks taste but you really need to taste them for yourself. I prefer the cheese dip as opposed to the marinara.
They also give you take home plastic cups when you order a drink, which is great to keep around for kids or just when you don't want to dirty a dish. I wish they would change colors soon though, I have way too many yellow ones!
I have never eaten inside the restaurant I usually call my order in and then take it home. They do have a small dining area with a flat screen that usually has a game playing.
Overall Hot Box has a pretty decent pizza, cool plastic cups, nifty dining area, and phenomenal breadsticks that just make you wanna smack your grandma!
On Friday night, I hosted a mini-slumber party while my hubby was out of town. Â Like most drunk people, we were craving pizza at an unearthly hour (of 11 p.m.). :) Well, as anyone knows who is a regular reader of my reviews, I live in Carmel. Needless to say, this isn't Broadripple and most places close at 10 p.m.
Except Hot Box!! Â After calling several other pizza places, we were pleasantly surprised to discover this gem! Â And, they delivered in 20 minutes!
Everything we had was pretty good! Â We ordered two salads with ranch, cheesesticks and bread sticks and it was very reminiscent of my days at IU and ordering the Big Ten for $10. Â Our total bill was under $20 and they were very quick to get us our midnight snacks.
Nothing like making a few winos happy when no one else is open. Â High fives in my book and something I will not forget!
maybe a 3.5. Â In yet another quest to use up my entertainment book coupons, the wife and I decided to order some pizza from hot box. Â We had some relatives coming in, and figured why the heck not.
I ended up picking up our order, but let me give you a breakdown of what I saw.
AMBIENCE- this place is connected to a gas station. Â I don't know what image that conjures up in your mind, but the place is actually pretty clean. Â They have a lunch menu with slices and such, though I didn't see any pies sitting out when I went. Â perhaps they make them to order?
SERVICE- the guy that was helping me was friendly, and greeted me as soon as I walked in. Â Shortly after I got there, they completed my order, and I was on my way. Â Both he, and the other guy working there had these quasi-cool t-shirts on that had something clever written on them. Â meh.
MENU- besides your standard pizza toppings, this place has a number of different specialty pizzas and sauces (I think you can order pesto, alfredo, ranch as well as tomato sauce on your pie). Â You can also choose what style of crust (regular, thin, and a wheat crust) Â I signed up for their newsletter, and they rave about their breadstix, though we didn't end up getting any.
FOOD- for our order, we got a large supreme, and a large chicken ranch which had ranch sauce, chicken and bacon on (and maybe some spinach? Â I can't remember). Â The supreme was about what I expected, and the chicken ranch was ok. Â It actually seemed a little dry, but still tasty. Â
OVERALL- considering the price (about $18 per pizza), I was expecting these pizzas to be overflowing with toppings or something, but these were just alright. Â Sure they got some creative toppings and combos, but I didn't really think it was anything to write home about. Â

Yum yum yum! Hot Box is delish. We order it at the office every now and then and love getting their Big Ten special. The pizza is really good - not the gourmet topping selection that you find at Bazbeaux, but still tasty pizza! The breadsticks are awesome too, and what we always look forward to is the ranch dressing for dipping!
An added bonus - you get Tootsie Rolls for dessert with every pizza. Just take them out of the box as soon as you get the pizza or they will melt and get pretty weird. Their website's really informative and you can sign up for their enewsletter, which will alert you to the Hot Box Pie of the Month, and other special deals.
One tip -  be sure to go to their actual website (<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gethotboxpizza.com&s=87bf77d577c1ef78841b43fba857a84ea9edf706cdf2a69c3b2c9a09b1d1c7a1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.gethotboxpizz…</a>) and just don't Google 'hot box' or type in hotboxdotcom.... that's definitely not going to give you info about the pizza! :)
