House of Billiards

The more things change the more they stay the same.  This pool hall of my youth is still amazing.

Came here just for fun. Found out these little gems: Cash only like everyone else says. Service is nice, the girls come around to make sure we have what we need. There are plenty of pool tables. Beer pitcher was a reasonable $15 or so. The biggest shocker was the $20 we paid for 1hr of pool. Maybe played 3 games. I'm just used to playing at a table for $1 each game in Santa Monica so maybe this is a normal rate?

The ambiance was a bit mixed, most noticeably the older biker dude kind of guys.

Don't see myself coming here again unless we find out about some good promotions are available on certain nights.

Cool, Casual spot in the Shoaks that only takes cash, so stop at the ATM before you come here, or run across the street to Bank Of America and get some.  Don't get ripped off by their in house ATM machine.  Also, you've got to pay for your pool game right away and pay for drinks and food separately....strange, yes, I know.  Waitresses here are mildly attentive, but nothing special.
 
Ladies:  This is a cool date spot.  If you're a pool shark, its a great spot to show off your skills.  If you stink, like me, you can play the helpless damsel and get a little flirting in.  :)
