I was disappointed by Iron Springs Pub & Brewery, not because it was bad, but because it just wasn't as good as I had expected from looking online.  

The beer was ok. I am a hop lover and I tried their Pale Ale (that they give a portion of the sale to ALS, BRAVO! I forgot the name of it) , their IPA and their Double IPA. All of which were decent beers but lacked the complexity of flavor that I look for in a good IPA. (Stone brewing co., Russian River brewing co. etc.)

I ordered the Miguel's Famous Poc Chuc - Grilled citrus and tequila marinated boneless pork loin chops finished with roasted red onions, charred tomato salsa, guacamole, Mexican rice, black beans and corn tortillas. The Pork was pretty good, well cooked and flavorful but the rice and beans were bland and I skipped on the tortillas all together. My wife ordered the Grilled Vegetable Plate and was disappointed with most of it.

All in all, it was decent but there are better places to grab a bite and a brew.

I heart you Iron Springs Pub, you are my little home away from home!  I've been coming to ISP for years and it's casual and friendly environment serves as a community meeting place de jour.  Sundays are like a family reunion, but only after 5pm when all the city people and their $12,000 bikes evaporate from town.  It doesn't get more local than M-F from 4-6pm - a complete Cheers experience.  The food is standard but solid pub fare and I appreciate that they make their own in-house veggie burger.  The Prawn Salad is amazing and my meat eating friends LOVE the burger.  There is always a cool and interesting rotation of beers to choose from and the pub makes their own sodas.  Kid and dog friendly too.
