This is one of those mixed reviews I hate to give.
JT's has a great atmosphere for a BBQ joint. Â Wooden picnic tables, music playing, order from the counter. Â But, of course, BBQ is all about the food.
THE GOOD: Collard Greens. Â I'm not much of a veggie kind of guy, but I couldn't get enough of these. No bitterness. Wonderful, tender, and flavorful. Â Get them. Â Chicken - done just right. Â White meat was moist and juicy.
The FAIR: The Sauce. Â Only one choice, and it's pretty sweet. Â I'd prefer to have more than one choice.
THE UGLY: The Baby Back Ribs. Â Mine were small, dry, and almost meatless. Â Really, there's no excuse for drying out Baby Backs. Â They should be moist and dripping with flavor. Â The seasoning was good, but it was like eating jerky.
Maybe I got a bad batch. Â The place certainly seemed popular. Â You'll have to try for yourself.
