The people here are nice, and they're remodeling, so I understand some disarray comes with that. I've been here with family for brunch twice. Had the omelet. Bland with excessive greasy cheese "product." I wish I could give them a good review, but the restaurant is absolutely filthy. Menus are sticky and the condiments have a layer of filth on top of them. The server wiped down some of our table, I had to use our baby wipes to clean the table again, and the highchair. I thought I had thoroughly cleaned the highchair, then my wife took out another wipe and it was almost black when she had finished cleaning it. Absolutely disgusting. If they take that little care to clean the front of the house, I don't want to think about the back of it.
I give it two stars because the people are nice and it's probably fine if you want a dark place to drink beers. I recommend anything in bottles.
Good place to go when meeting a friend, and you don't feel like going "all the way" to Scituate harbor (which can be off the beaten track when you don't live in Scituate). Â Has a classic townie, regular pub food. Â quiet enough to have a conversation, but noisy enough to make you feel like you are out. Â Always had nice, pleasant servers.
It is a "forgotten" place when I think of going out in Scituate, but it doesn't disappoint. Â like "Oh yeah let's meet at Jamie's!"
