Bartlett, IL does not have good restaurants. They are all mediocre at best.
If I had to compare this restaurant to all of the other Mexican eateries in Streamwood and Schaumburg. JC's has the better Mexican Food compared to the rest.
I have ordered the tacos either steak or chicken. Their menu is fairly priced. Nice ambiance. Never had a problem with an order. Very kind service.
I usually do more take-out which is done in 15 minutes. Always on time.
Now having said this. This is not your Chicago style Mexican food. Its suburban.
I think you have good dollar value eating Mexican food here vs. the other places.
...not sure what the hype is. Maybe we are all desperate living here in Bartlett. Yes, I think we are. This is standard fare, and the flan was so incredibly tasteless I was angry while I was eating it. Whipped cream would help tons.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. People were really nice. Cute little place and you can sit outside. The train got to be really obnoxious. Is there a time of day that trains don't go by?

I guess, if I didn't have Flan at La Tosca in Arlington Heights (no, I am not a spy), I would have been just unimpressed. For the calories, I'd like to be impressed.

Someone said the mole was great. It was good. But it was sweet. Not my type of mole. Spicy, yes; sugar no. We ordered steak enchiladas and got chicken. They were too busy and the service too slow for us to want to fix that, so we didn't say anything.
Guacamole. Just OK. There was not salt on the table. That would have helped bring out some flavor. Margarita. Also, just ok. I don't think there was much alcohol in it. I didn't even get chatty.

It isn't a bad place. Better than the other mexican restaurant in the area. Go here Bartlett peoples, but I think it is over-rated here. ...so you know and are not disappointed.
I really love the food. In fact my entire family loves the food. My son is 15 and daughter is 13, both love the taco's, baby burrito, quesadilla's and the guacamole is very good!
All of the dishes are very authentic, portions are generous and atmosphere is nice and quaint - small town feel, which it is.
Love the owner, Luz and her kids (extended family) run and manage the business and they give back to the community. Great experience, great food and great drinks and a fair price. Carry out is good too!
