Jesup Bay

We have been hearing from friends and coworkers about the amazing food and great ambiance at Jesup Bay.  For no good reason, I didn't give Jesup Bay a chance until now - months later.  We absolutely loved it!  Our friends told us about their experiences, which included having the owner approach their table to suggest menu items, to describe the meticulous approach to making each item in-house and to share stories of Oviedo history.  We were thankful to have the same experience.  The owner and his wife were very pleasant.  Their descriptions of the menu items lived up to the hype.  I had the tuna steak, which was marinated and seared as they prepare their steaks.  The marinade is to die for!  My wife had grilled mahi-mahi, which she loved.  They offered us a sample of the seafood bisque, which was also amazing and featured large chunks of lobster.  Every detail was worth raving about.  The array of menu items will surely keep us coming back.

On this visit, we ordered the "King of Oviedo" dessert, which lived up to the name.  For just under $7, we enjoyed a fried pastry, topped with a large scoop of fried vanilla ice cream, garnished with mounds of whipped cream, almost 1/4 cup of cinnamon, and streaks of honey glaze.  This dessert could easily have satisfied 4 guests.  I challenge someone to invite me to try a dessert that would compete for this title!

I plan to frequent Jesup Bay.  I want to try the Jalapeno Burger, the Cajun Chicken Pasta, a steak and other items.  I will also have to come in to enjoy the live music, sports on the big screens, and some drinks!

First time here.. I feel bad it only has 3 stars so here's a little boost.

It's changed completely inside from its prior establishment... It's kinda a weird set up the tables are kinda fancy with their candles and Maroon tablecloths, but it's not a fancy restiraunt...there is a band set up in the bAck and a bar and a pool table. Could use a face uplift, but it's all good.

I had the paco burger...was very juicy and cooked right and huuuuge. The fries were double fried (weakness!) and the iced tea was fresh. The waiter was super attentative and on top of everything, very good service, best I've had in a long time (kudos to Ryan!). My dad had a burger as well , with garlic onion rings and cream cheese and he really enjoyed it.

As far as the burgers go.... Def better than Johnny's filling station and the nearby Casey's grill. Stop by!
