Who doesn't love a super fast delivery sandwich? Jimmy John's is probably my go-to lunch destination for when I am super swamped at the hospital and don't have time to run downstairs to the cafeteria. I appreciate how fast they truly are - sometimes it makes me wonder if the sandwiches are already pre-made, but with my weird requests, I highly doubt it. Literally, the delivery guy is calling at arrival within minutes of placing my order.
Lately, I have been finding myself ordering their Italian style sub, thusly named, The Vito. The sub is salami, capicola, provolone cheese, with oregano, lettuce (I usually get no tomato and onion) and hot peppers, covered in an Italian vinegarette = mighty tasty! Their pricing is pretty decent too. I usually get chips and a drink and it comes to around $10 after I tip the delivery guy.
If you are on or near the Anschutz medical campus, Jimmy John's can hook a brotha or sista up with some tasty lunch (or dinner) or possibly a snack depending on how hungry you are. Just be prepared if you order for delivery how fast they truly are!
I was really hoping to like Jimmy John's. Â After being told my friends from Chicago that they were a solid sandwich chain, I was excited to get a piece of the action. Â However, I think I would have rather had subway!
I ordered a turkey 8" here on wheat bread. Â They gave me two slices of turkey, a paltry few sprouts, not nearly enough tomatoes....it made for a very plain sandwich. Â That being said, I thought the wheat bread was pretty delish. Â What a disappointment though.
By now everyone is familiar with the Jimmy John's shtick - they get you a sandwich in 0.847235 seconds. Â The sandwiches themselves aren't anything special, but boy do you get yours in a hurry. Â The menu is really just variations on a theme - you can get any number of combinations and there is something for everyone. Â My only issue with that is the fact that they put mayo on everything. Â I get the Italian Night Club, which comes with a bunch of Italian meats and cheeses and a nice Italian dressing. Â But I don't need both mayo and dressing, thank you. Â So I just ask for no mayo and that takes care of it. Â I think the bread is getting a bit smaller because my last couple of sandwiches haven't felt like quite as much food. Â But when I only have a few minutes for lunch, I know where to go for a decent sandwich at a reasonable price.
