I absolutely adore this place for Sunday Brunch! I can agree with Jonathan T. that the decor is a bit dated and the crowd is older but is that so bad? Decor reminds me of a 1970s retro feel. and an older crowd is also a quiet one. So for a peaceful and pleasant brunch WHY NOT?! On to the food. Absolutely delicious. A great variety of Chinese and American fare. Made to order Omelete and waffle station. Bottomless mimosa and bloody marys included. And wait staff was attentive.

Atmosphere- 1970s idea of classy, older crowd

Food- The last two times I ate here, myself and the rest of the people I was with ended up very sick (sesame chicken and shrimp lo mein)

Service- After we were seated we were asked 3 different times if we were sure we wanted to drink water, we then ordered an appetizer and said we still needed time to decide on an entree, our waitress sent the chef out to ask us in a condescending way, "is that all you're going to be ordering this evening?"

For the price of one of their entrees you can either get an incredible entree at a nice restaurant like sotto sopra in mt vernon or Linwood's in owings mills, or feed a family of 4 at a nice Chinese restaurant somewhere else that doesn't have the dated interior and food poisoning that Joey chiu's will give you.

Do yourself, your wallet, and your stomach a favor and go ten minutes away to quarry lake and eat at Jasmine Asian cuisine if you want Chinese.

I used to work for a small and local insurance agency, and we went here for a holiday lunch (I'm thinking this was December 2011). Seats were sticky, food was gross, and service was not so bad, but the plus side is whoever made the drinks was HEAVY with the liquor. Thank goodness, as it helped the food taste better and made me not feel so awkward as I sat with folks I'd prefer not be hanging out with on this personal level. Hmmmmm....maybe the company I was with tainted my whole feel of this place, but I don't recall anything about the experience as being good.

If I were going out for this type of food again I'd go to Pikesville and visit Mr. Chan's.
