  Lets see--horrible food, horrible service, extremely rude owner.  Other than that, I highly recommend Jungle Restaurant.  
  
  Hands down the worst service I've ever experienced at a restaurant.  If you go, I can guarantee you'll be disappointed!

  The new tasting menu? Horrible. Outrageously expensive, considering what they served. As a comparison, we ate in Nashville last weekend at the Capitol Grille. Price was almost identical for an inventive gourmet meal, served by a professional, friendly wait staff. The Jungle?  Not so much.

  Granted, I haven't eaten here since last summer, but since I've become active on Yelp, I wanted to make it a point to write about how bad this restaurant is. A restaurant has a duty to both serve good food and treat its customers with generosity and respect. The Jungle did neither, and the owner was one of the rudest people I've ever met.

  I too would give the Jungle zero stars if that were an option!  Everything about this restaurant, other than the building and the cool decor, is awful!  We went for lunch recently and the service was horrendous.  My boyfriend ordered a beer and the server took away his glass of water, even as he protested!  We waited for our server to come back to take our orders, and after about 15 min. I had to go find her behind the bar looking at the paper.  The food was so bland and my wrap had no sauce on it, and I literally had 8 fries on my sad looking plate.  I actually counted them because there were so few that they looked out of place.  The best part was when we got the bill...over $30...for lunch...without tip...for 1 veggie wrap, 1 sm. Caesar salad, a diet coke, and 1 bottle of domestic beer!  I guess the wrap and salad were over $10 each, and while that may not be pricey somewhere like NYC, it is ridiculous for Evansville.  Avoid at all costs, I cannot emphasize this enough!

  It only gets 1 star because 0 stars wasn't an option.  Easily the worst dining experience I've had in years.  Overpriced, horrible service, awful food.  My sister and I went on a Friday night and sat outside.  There was 1 other table of customers at the time.  No service happened until a guy who doesn't even work there brought us a menu.  He explained he's opening a jazz bar on the Jungle's 2nd floor.  He was the best thing about our visit.  When the waitress finally showed up we ordered.  The food took well over 30 minutes to arrive.  I had tuna, sister had a chicken sandwich.  The tuna was overcooked by about 20 minutes.  Hard as a doorstop.  The "sides" included about 1/4c of overcooked veggies and some dry mashed potatoes.  My sister removed the bread from her sandwich because it was too hard.  The ice water was even bad.  I thought the brown tint was a reflection from the wine but nope, just rust/dirt.  My "tuna" meal + 2 glasses of wine was a whopping $34!  To top off the evening we saw a mouse run by the restaurant's door into the alley.  PUKE.  The decor is interesting enough to stop by and look but DO NOT EAT HERE!!  You will be sorry.  I'm sorry I didn't heed the other reviews before going.

  The Jungle looks like an intriguing restaurant from the exterior, but it's a letdown once you sit down to eat.  I ordered a pork tenderloin sandwich for lunch, assuming from the price ($8) that it would come roasted or grilled.  Instead, it came fried.  My companion ordered a bacon-cheeseburger that came sans bacon.  Neither of us received a full side of french fries.  
  
  I won't return to this restaurant until they get new ownership.   The food is of the lowest quality and it is way overpriced.  If you are looking for good bar food, head elsewhere.

  Horrible!!! The food was rediculously bad. I mean, this was one of the worst chicken sandwiches I have ever had. They left off two ingredients that the menu stated were part of it. I could not bite through the meat. Gross. Obnoxious old man with a prostitute on the patio, both being loud and listening to their own music over the restaurant's music without any comment from the workers. Bird poop on my patio table,... my server cleaned it with her FINGER!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!! Oh,... an it was unbelievably expensive. I would rather eat a McDonald's exclusively for a month than eat here again, and I am NOT a fast food guy.
