I love a tiki bar. Â And since we were in a major sized water park, what better time to enjoy a tiki bar in the northwoods of Wisconsin.
But this place missed the mark. Â My wrap had almost no flavor whatsoever. Â And my cranberry and vodka seemed to be missing vodka. Â Service was friendly and efficient and the decor was fun but food was boring.
And again, not cheap. Â If I'm going to drop $75 for a family of four for dinner, I am going to need a little flavor. Â For $40, this meal might have been ok. Â For $75, not at all.
Wow. The signature drink is a bloody mary and half the staff does not know how to make one. Not that they tried and messed up, they told us upon ordering they did not know how to make them. The staff also said they could not make a Makers Mark Manhattan. Why? They do not have Makers Mark. What is that over there? Makers Mark. Wow.
The clientele was a lot of women in gym shoes - for real gym shoes. Wow.
The dance floor stayed open most of the night, as the dj spun records to keep folks away.
The show? Think of Cocktail with Tom Cruise and drop the bar even lower.
The two stars? Kahunaville is clean and the staff was friendly even if they could not make drinks.
Had a great time partying at Kahunaville!  The DJ keeps the fun  atmosphere going all night.
Special occasions are a treat - tonight there was a Halloween party. Â I went as a zombie, and even though I didn't win a prize, my friends and I enjoyed the tasty and inexpensive drink specials and live music.
Kahunaville is attached to the Kalahari Resort Hotel, so if you want to be able to enjoy yourself to the fullest without worrying about driving while impaired, get a room there!
Be sure to arrive at Kahunaville early enough to enjoy their flair shows, at 8:30 and 10:30 - if you scream loud enough, you may earn a free drink!
