Disgusting.

I honestly can't remember the last time I sent a meal back and I eat out a lot. Ordered their French Dip sandwich. The beef was horrible, half of it was like a dog's rawhide and the other half was like nasty soft bubble gum. The off flavor led me to believe that the meat was turning as well.

Told the server I couldn't eat it, but I'd finish the fries, and she graciously offered to broach the subject with the manager. She came back and the manager knocked $5 off and said "I could just pay for the fries". The sandwich was $10 including the fries. I didn't push the issue, I just paid my bill and walked out but I feel they totally nickel and dime'd me.

Kaptain Jimmy's is under the same ownership as Opa Opa which seems to struggle with their food as well according to the reviews.

I would encourage you to read the filtered reviews for this place as they seem to tell the story a little better than the non-filtered reviews.

Wide variety of beer choices, huge bar, great atmosphere, and the menu has a little something for everyone.  Burgers are good, clam strips too

I did NOT expect to like anything at a pirate themed gigantic bar/restaurant in Agawam... but I did.

The beer (opa-opa predominantly) comes in two sizes... both priced VERY well.

The appetizers were seriously some of the best bad-for-you food you can get and the atmosphere wasn't nearly as kitschy as I thought it would be.

We went as a family of 14 and the servers were  gracious and fun, despite our annoying one-beer-at-a-time ordering tactic.

My only two complaints would be how frigid the bathrooms were (do they double as walk in storage?) and that the entrees weren't up to par with the apps and beer.

If I lived in the agawam area, I would be a regular at this place... for serious.
