The Still

I missed my high school reunion some time ago because I was out of town, well no worries because I got a second chance at that here! This is what happens when you go out in your hometown. That being said, drinks are fairly cheap but it's still a dive. Bathrooms were not in great condition. The band playing was butchering some of my favorite rock classics so we didn't stay for longer than 1 beer.

Good service aside, The Still seems to be suffering a bit of an identity crisis...

Musically:
Swing the pendulum across the musical spectrum - country to hip hop, hip hop to country with no stops in between? It's Christmas, people have been drinking for awhile and still the dance floor is empty, take a hint DJ.

Allegiance-wise:
Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots. These logos comprised 95% of the apparel I saw on patrons. So what's with the tacky New York skyline mirror? Just because it's marked down to 5 bucks at a tag sale does not mean you should buy it and hang it in your bar.

Overall layout:
On the left side of the bar: Clean bathrooms. Nice, well stocked bar area. Aesthetic dark wood.
On the right side of the bar: Dirty linoleum dance floor. Sticky tables with cheap chairs.
It looks as though money ran out after furnishing the left side of the place.

Take a cue from the great service and aim for some continuity in entertainment, decor and cleanliness.
