Great lunch special. Â Only about $5 for plenty of great food. Â Although it appears small on the outside, there is plenty of room inside to sit and enjoy your meal. Â Call ahead for takeout or not. Â When I called in they said it would be ready in 5 minutes, so next time I'll just order there. Â Nice to have a non-Chinese joint that has such great lunch specials. Â Wish I could go today but it's Monday!
Review Source:Best Indian in Peoria, hands down! Â I eat a lot of Indian food, and this place takes the plate in Peoria. Â They have AMAZING lunch specials, at $5 a plate. Â Awesome deal, awesome food. Â The staff is very accomodating, and I have never had a bad experience or left hungry. Â Definitely reccommend stopping here to experience the food.
Review Source:I've never come here at lunch, I've always ordered on the weekends to go. What I enjoy here is the biryani, whether it's the chicken or lamb. It's quite spicy, and it's the best I can find in the city. If you aren't as adventurous, try their Chicken 65, because they make that very well here.
And the garlic naan is a must! Lots of fresh finely chopped garlic adorn their soft/crunchy roasted bread. Eastern food with a Pakistani flair, it's more than worth a try if you are savvy for spice.
Do not be fooled by the lack of curbside appeal ... the food is awesome! Yes, it is lacking atmosphere to say the least, but if you don't mind that and want great Indian food, you won't regret giving KK's a chance! Their Chicken 65 is excellent, daal and naan are fantastic! Best Indian food in Central Illinois!
Review Source:Very fairly priced lunch! Â For $5 you get two entree selections, rice, soup, and naan. Â As everyone else has said, the decor is not fancy. Â You're served on lunch trays on styrofoam. Â Also, the pop selection was much better than what Josh E. reported below. Â The food was delicious and spicy. Everyone left full. Â Give this tiny local place a shot, and you'll keep coming back.
Review Source:I was passing through and saw this on Yelp before a Heartland Symphony concert. Â Excellent Indian food at low-medium cost , spicy, as should be expected. Food compares somewhat favorably to high dollar big city restaurants except for sevice in plain brown wrapper atmosphere. Service is helpful and polite. Enjoy the tea for dessert. Those who don't enjoy spicy food should probably pass on Indian cuisine.
Review Source:Best tasting Indian food in Peoria. Just had their Chicken Tikka Masala (very tasty), Chili Shrimp (excellent flavors), and Fish Kabab (actually two large delicious Tilapia steaks) all for very reasonable prices. This will be our go to place for Indian food. The restaurant is a little place, but the food is outstanding. Highly recommended.
Review Source:Khana Khazanah is a treat when it comes to Indian/Pakistani food in Peoria. The lunch special is the best! My boyfriend and I went yesterday. We each got dahl soup, 3 or 4 pieces of naan, and 2 choices from the lunch entrees. We both got tomato chicken curry and chana masala (chickpeas). I always get mine extra spicy and they make me an extra batch of super spicy chili sauce. The food comes out fast and is always hot and delicious. Our entire bill with 2 sodas was $11. You can't beat that.. Its got absolutely no atmosphere to speak of but.. the food makes up for it!! I have tried Pasand (overpriced) and Aachi ( ok but rather bland) and Khana Kazanah is the best! Im from Boston so the reason they don't get a full five stars is because it doesn't quite live up to some of my favorite Indian places back home but for out here in the Midwest it is outstanding!
Review Source:Lunch combo is great food for the price point. Food quality is really good and the variety of dishes is great. Atmosphere is a bit hole-in-the-wall, so if you're into that, it's great! I'd imagine it would be a good place to come to if you're just hankering for Indian. You take care of cleaning up after yourself and getting your own drinks, which I liked. Overall, the food is what set it apart.
