Kilroy's does it right, a lot of good food made from scratch, well cooked with great looking well done service. A must stop for lunch.

long time fan of kilroy's.  service is great and sandwiches are outstanding.  try their soup-you won't be disappointed.  for a nite out with good food and drinks, you can't beat this place.

Kilroys is a local sports bar and restaurant pub in downtown Lansing, Illinois.  Unlike a lot of downtown villages decimated by businesses moving out or closing because of big box stores, Lansing's downtown is still intact.  KIlroys is a fixture of the community.  There is plenty of parking behind the bar, off of Williams Street, which intersects Ridge Road.  Entrance to the bar is off Ridge Road, entrance to the restaurant is off Williams Street, although you can get to either destination by either door.  The restaurant is quieter than the bar and sports bar areas.  It has a nice cozy feel to it.  The menu has the usual burger and sandwiches, salads and appetizers.  The service was good and quick.  My wife ordered the Blue Burger which is Angus beef with a good portion of blue cheese crumbed over the burger and partially melted.  It came rarer than my wife cared for and the food server took it back and got it to medium rare like she prefers.  I had the shaved prime rib sandwich which came with au jus as well as onion, lettuce, and tomato.  We both opted for the Cole slaw instead of French fries.  A much larger portion of Cole slaw came than the usual small plastic cup.  We both liked our orders, good size and satisfying.  Both sandwiches were $16.60 without drink or tip.
