    Best In Midland
Hands down! Best Mexican food in Midland / Odessa. My all time favorite is the chili relenos and nacho's.
Note; on nacho's mention holding carrots.  They didn't always but for some reason now, if you don't mention holding carrots they dump this pickled carrot and jalapeno mixture all over a great plate of nacho's

I have been going to La Bodega since I was a kid and every time I visit Midland I go here. Why?  Because the food is as good as it had ever been!  The restaurant also serves a lot of it and they are not chintzy on the ingredients!  I always get the Especial Plate and its huge! The enchiladas are stuffed with cheese and the red sauce is incredible. The tostada is also loaded with cheese. The tacos are scrumptious and the guacamole? Some of the best I have ever had!  Add in the beans and rice and viola you have an incredible meal!  BTW I can never finish all of it because the portion is huge.  I also like the decor, old style and remains the same after all these years! I always feel comfortable here and I won't stop coming here!

My experiences during a company sponsored venue here went well. The hostess and waitresses were very nice and very prompt with any of your needs. The salsa was some of the best I have had (I even took some home..lol). My only compaint was the main course. I understand that is was prepared prior to our venue, but everything was cold and the tacos were starting to taste a little stale. Overall, this is a very nice restaraunt, and I wil be visiting again to see if the private entrees are a little more fresh. :)

I came to La Bodega for a team building event.  The inside is dimly lit and quiet.  It's easy to have a conversation with family and friends.  The waiters and waitresses and very friendly and promptly seated us.  They also served the alcoholic drinks first before the water.  We came with about 16 people and the food was served within 20 minutes of all of us arriving and ordering.  I ordered the chicken fajitas, an they were slightly spicy.  The chicken fajitas were seasoned with a tex mex Cajun style flavoring.  They were very delicious, and the flour tortillas were warm and soft.  They cost around 13 bucks, and there was enough food for 2 people.  I recommend giving this place a try if you are in the mood for Mexican food.

    Thanks!

Got the chicken ranchera which was really good.  I'd come back here.

Went there on a Saturday afternoon and the place was pretty busy in the main dinning area. There were a few tables open but they put us in the corner. It looked like there was another dining area, but they didn't want to seat anyone down there for some reason.

Went there and ordered the special (2 tacos,1 enchilada, rice, and beans) for what your getting the price was reasonable at about $9.  The taco shells were stale and it seemed like they knew it and tried to toast them to mask the fact they were stale. I just dumbed the contents of the tacos out on my plate and just ate it off my plate.

The waitress was very nice, but like a previous reviewer said she only came twice to our table. Once to take our order and second to bring our food. We ran low on drinks and I never could get a refill on my coke. My girlfriend got a margarita and she said it didn't taste good.

I would rather have gone to Rosas for better service and food for the same price.

Well....I disliked it for a few reasons...the hostess and main staff are very polite and courteous, however our waitress only visited us TWICE the entire time, once to take our order, second to bring our ticket, all else was brought by other people. My husband enjoyed his shrimp quesadilla, but my spinach enchiladas were tasteless...I expected more of a Tex-Mex place. I disliked the corn chips, they were hard with a burnt taste but the salsa was okay. Won't be back.

The food was bland and the service was not that great. We had 3 different people helping us and none of them even tried to bring us our check.  We had to ask another lady for help.

Eating bland food in an ashtray (smell)...that's what La Bodega gets you. Hamburgers were awesome, but I couldn't handle the smoke to go back.

Good food, although I can not judge on if it is authentic, but amongst all the Mexican restaurants I have been to this one was good. I like the full bar and ambiance, specially its NOT a "no smoking zone" ;). Overall a good experience.

Very good food.  Love their salsa and chips.  I usually order a combo plate and it comes with more food than I can finish.

The food was substantial and basically good, but fairly bland in my opinion. The full bar was a plus.

It's an ok place, but if you don't like to eat with smokers this isn't your place. While most places in Midland have an exclusive property wide no smoking policy these guys don't. The service is ok, but could be faster, and in our group the food depended on what you ordered, but by in large nobody was impressed.

La Bodega serves good Mexican food.  The fajita nacho's are good, the ambience is nice.  The seating is a little uncomfortable, though, if you've got a little heft to you.

I love their bean rueda's and beef chili rellenos.  Everytime I visit home I make sure I go here...twice!

    My recommendation(s): Combination Fajita Nachos!

It's been almost four years ago since I had them, but I still think about them daily.
