Without a question one of the best restaurants around the Lafayette/ West Lafayette area and a very good Italian restaurant overall. The food is always fresh and flavorful but the best part is the service.
We come here often and so far we haven't have a bad experience with either the food or the service. The are usually pack so make sure you make reservations otherwise it would be hard to get a table specially during Friday and Saturday evening.
Great place to bring a date or just when you are craving some good Italian....
Our family of 6 were visiting the University of Purdue and decided to try La Scala for lunch after the recommendation of google-map searches.
I thought the service and the food were impeccable even when we arrived 10 mins before they were about to close for a mid-afternoon break. With that said, our lunch turned out to be in an almost empty but cozy Italian restaurant filled with smooth blues Louis Armstrong kind of music.
The food was delicious! I would go back just for the bruschetta alone :D Â I was a little sad to not find more pictures on yelp so I uploaded several more. The highlight would be the gnocchi my brother ordered. The truffle icecream we got for dessert were beautifully presented in sleek white rectangular dishes. Next time I would try their chocolate desserts too!
With a 5 stars I hope to bump this place to a 4 average :)
