I live in Chicago. Â I've lived in Indy and Louisville. Â I've traveled to 48 states and several countries. Â For my money, this is the best pizza! Â When a menu includes such standouts as ground pepperoni on a crisp, thin crust, the Stromboli & Texas BBQ sandwiches, and the Junior salad, it is hard to justify eating anywhere else in Lafayette (espec. if you are an ex-pat, like me).
Review Source:Being from Lafayette, IN this is my husband's favorite pizza. Â He talks about it like it some mythical substance. Â When we come back to visit his family I swear we plan the Arni's dinners as much as anything else! Â
According to the hubby and the father in law this one used to be the "best" Arni's because of the ovens. Â I guess they renovated awhile back and it isn't the same. Â
We always get a large pepperoni. Â It is square cut so the outer edges are a bit easier to eat than the middle pieces which tend to be gooey. Â It is very thin and crispy pizza and the pepperoni are diced (not sliced) - which I like. It is also extremely greasy pizza -- which I don't like. Â
To me it is just pizza. It is unique because of the diced pepperoni and the way they cut it, but it doesn't haunt my dreams and call me back for more! It is just OK! Â
Service was great here and there is plenty of parking. Oh and if you take out they put your pizza in a bag, not a box. Â You'll see....I think it's weird, but I guess it works!
I don't why they say "Best pizza in Lafayette" for anyways. Because they are certainly not! I have been here on a number of occasions and notice several things. The service is always slow, the pizza is way too greasy, never been a fan of thin crust pizza's (especially ones with too much salt on the crust), also the waitress's seriously need to brush up on their people skills! Â The salads were also a bitter disgrace, I mean come on that thing was mostly meat and cheese. I won't set foot in this place if I could ever help it. In my honest opinion grocery store pizza's are better than what these guys have to offer!
