Lamplighter Inn

If I could give -5 stars I would.  This place is TERRIBLE!  We waited 40+ minutes for our meals!  I would NEVER, EVER go to this dump again.  We left before our meals were delivered.  We were told 'a big party upstairs slammed the kitchen' - no one from management ever came to our table to apologize.  I finally sought the manager and proceeded to tell her exactly how we felt.  Save your TIME and your money and go somewhere else.  This place is absolutely terrible!

We drove over to JJ Twigs, had some great pizza and it was prepared and delivered in less than half of the time we wasted at DUMPlighter!

Local bar located in downtown Palatine seems to be well liked by area bikers and business people alike.  The food is surprisingly good bar food and the service was better than I expected.  There is a great outdoor area upstairs where you can enjoy the view of the town.  I find myself going back for casual meetings with friends and business associates because I have never had a bad experience here in four years.

This is the kind of place to come if you want to feel like you're 22 again. If you're not 22 again, but you still party like you're 22, you will like it. If you're not 22 and don't party like you're 22, don't come here on a weekend night.
