Landmark Inn Bar & Grille

This is one of my favorite lunch places. Great burgers and wraps.

If you are in the area you need to give this place a try, period!

It's all right, I guess. The food is OK but not great. Gets crowded and takes a while. They have like 10 TVs with sports on, but you can't hear any of them. Really just a so-so local joint, but even as a baka out-of-towner I know there's better food and better bars not far away.

I run the Northbrook Public Library's book club that meets at the Landmark (Books on Tap - find us on Facebook!), and every time I show up, I'm super impressed. My group meets in the private room downstairs, which is perfect for our needs. It's relatively quiet compared to the upstairs and there's plenty of room and tables for us to sit around, drink, eat, and talk books.

On the service side, the people at The Landmark always make me feel like family. They are kind and funny. Just attentive enough. Totally understanding of serving a large group that is discussing a book but still wants to order things throughout the discussion. It really is a perfect location. Thank you, Landmark!!
