Flight got delayed for 3 hours so only option was to get second breakfast and a cocktail - needed a place near our gate as the info kept changing so we picked Lefty's as it was pretty much the only option and hey they had cocktails. Said cocktails were pricey but most things in DIA are so we expected it. Breakfast was quite forgettable - standard 2 egg/bacon/toast. It did help us pass some time though.

It's the only option in the middle of Concourse A in the Denver airport.

The food is half hearted and the prices are stiffer than the drinks.  The boneless buffalo wings have sauce drizzled just on top of them.  How hard it is it toss it in a bowl.

Shots are 12-15 but beers are more moderate.  If I'm suck here for a little I prefer to grab a Schlotzkies then grab a drink here.

If you can get a seat at the bar, that's going to be your best bet for getting drinks quickly.  It's always pretty busy in here because its the only place on this side of the terminal that serves booze.  What's being at the airport with doing a little airport drinking, right?!?

Food is ehh.  They do make it to order but there's really not much healthy on the menu.  Don't judge me.  I try to eat healthy so I can drink my calories!!

This is place is alright, far better than eating the chain food at McDonald's, Panda Express, etc. Good seating area with a nice view of the main terminal. Service was prompt and friendly. I ordered a Santa Fe Chicken sandwich with kettle chips. A bit expensive at $10, but that is expected of anything in the airport.

The sandwich came with a giant glob of guacamole, far more than I needed on my sandwich, so I took half off and used it for my chips. The sandwich was fine, nothing fantastic, but good. The kettle chips were very good, homemade, their only drawback was that some were completely covered in way too much salt.

Haven't been to some of the other restaurants in this terminal, so I can't compare which one is better or not, but this one is a decent option if you want something that is not fast food.

As you get deeper and deeper into the airport, drink prices go up.  Do they advertise this?  No, they do not.  Do I note this every single time I'm at the airport?  Yep.

But somehow, I act totally surprised every time my bill for a barely 1-oz pour of bourbon is $12.  Plus, this is Colorado, where I can buy a bottle of the Maker's, Bulleit, Buffalo Trace, whatever, for under $25.  Ouch.

But if you're like me, scared of flying, that twelve-dollah shot of booze taken 30 seconds before boarding the plan makes a world of difference before buckling in and praying to Baby Jesus the plane doesn't fall out of the sky.

You can also get some really expensive, shitty food there, microwaved right in front of your eyes, watch sports, and have a $6 Coors Light, too.  Get me the hell out of here.

    Santa Fe Chicken Combo $12.64
WOW! So disappointing and even worse when you think about the price.

The kettle chips were good though. Not $12 good though..

If you do not have time to eat at Chef Jimmy's in concourse A, Trails End is not that bad in a pinch. Breakfast burritos and regular breakfast items are fine and can be made better with salsa, Tabasco, and condiments. We stood in line to order instead of sitting on the bar side for full service, probably because we are creatures of habit and it used to be the smoking area. Trails End is closest to the terminals and is also good to get something to go.
