I've always seen the ambitious menu on the sidewalk, but I never bothered to walk in until today.
The Mexican-American neighborhood grill makes typical breakfast and lunch fare, like pancakes and sandwiches. But they also offer quesadillas, tostadas, burritos, tacos and more.
I ordered three tacos: two beef, one chicken. The soft-shell tacos had pico de gallo, chopped onions and cilantro. The chicken was tender. The beef and chicken were seasoned with salt and pepper. That's it.
I wished the cook seasoned the meat with more ingredients besides salt and pepper. I'm used to tacos al pastor, pork tacos seasoned with herbs and spices, and tacos with chorizo. But this cook's tacos were very simply done, executed well. I appreciated that. The cook had a measured carefulness to everything he did.
After second thoughts, I'd give this place 3.5 stars until I eat there again.
