I don't spend much time on this side of town. Â Fortunately, when I was over there recently I was with some people that knew the area. Â Liam's is a great spot to grab a drink with friends. Â I didn't eat, so I can't comment on the food, but the drink prices were reasonable and the bartender I had was pleasant.
Review Source:Decent food. Â The shepherd's pie is delicious, and the fish and chips are tasty. Â Good beer selection as well. Â The drawback is the price. Â The shepherd's pie is not that big and there were not many fries with the fish. Â We got these 2 dishes and 4 draft beers, and our total was $60.
Review Source:You know it's good when you're on a week-long business trip and you come here three times. (That, or everywhere else around it is just not good...)
The first time, it was Sunday we had a lame dinner at a nearby restaurant and went looking for some dessert and drinks. Came in here and got the bread pudding (huge for the price, and lovely presentation) which is highly recommended.
We found out that they have all you can eat wings for $9.95 on Mondays. So we were back the next night. They had Guinness bbq wings, something fiery hot, some parmesan garlic and regular wings. Everyone was all over those Guinness wings, they were amazing! Really high on the list of wings I've had in life.
Then we found out that Thursdays are prime rib nights. I don't like steak that much, but we'd had such a good experience both times here and the service was fantastic at the bar both times. This compared with some lame experiences elsewhere in the area, so I was down to go back. Didn't have the steak, although it was reportedly good. Instead, I ordered the Journey through Ireland, which was corned beef, shepherd's pie and fish & chips. The fish and chips were yummy and the corned beef was pretty good too. Shepherd's pie would've been, if not for the excessive amount of salt.
In all, we remember this place fondly and would return here (definitely on a Monday!) if we ever take another business trip to the area.
