Long John Silvers

I was fortune enough not to have the experience that Robert H did.  Mine was much different.  They were very fast and included everything in my order.  I used to love this place as a kid back east.  Oddly enough the taste of it really hasn't changed.  

Still love the hush puppies and the extra crunchies they give you.  Still love the smell of the place and the taste of things.  It's been a long time since I have gone to one of these places and now I remember why.  The 1/2 hour or so later when it comes back to haunt you.  My dinner date for the evening Tucker was more then happy to lick my fingers and beg for a little chicken and fish.  I am sure the extra grease will give him a nice shiney coat as well.  

It's not a bad place, I think I have just outgrown the taste and after taste of their preparation methods.  

I did notice they do have an all you can eat Monday night special.  Not so bad if you're really hungry and have a stronger stomach then I do.

I like Long John Silvers.  That's the only reason I went to this location twice.  I won't be returning.  On my most recent visit, I pulled up to the menu/order board, and waited 3 minutes for someone to come on the intercom and take my order.  (There was no one in line in front of me.)  I gave my order and was asked to pull up to the window.  I sat at the window for another 5 minutes before someone came by.  I was then asked to give my order AGAIN, because this wasn't the same person I had talked to the first time. (Like that's an excuse?)  I made sure to request tartar and cocktail sauce for my platter, because the first time I came here, I got home and had no sauce for my fish.  I was then asked to pull around to the parking lot on the other side of the building to wait for my order, along with several other vehicles who had apparently been waiting since before I arrived.  While I waited another 10 minutes, I noticed employees delivering orders to the other cars, and those cars then peeling out of the parking lot in frustration.  I finally did get my platter after 10 minutes, and even had sauce, but when I got home I realized I was missing my hush puppies again, just like the first time I came here.  FYI, my first experience at this location was almost identical to this one, except the first visit took 25 minutes, and this one only took 18 minutes.  The food was the usual LJS fare, but my service experience here leads me to believe this location is horribly mismanaged. The employees were frazzled and running around (to their credit, they were polite and apologized for the wait every time I talked with them) and my order was incomplete on both my visits.  Next time I want fish, I'll just go to Red Lobster, the service will be faster.
