Just tried this for the first time. Â It's our new go to place (forget Crocketts!). Â Great menu, something for everyone. Large portions, reasonable prices, plenty of parking. Â Friendly wait staff. Â TVs everywhere (a must for a sports bar). Â Like burgers? Â Try the Big One with your choice of 1 or 2 half pound beef patties. Â Hot pastrami is very good. Â Rib steak was the weakest choice. Â Will definitely be back.
Review Source:Rap. Â Huh? Â Every single song was a rap song between the karaoke and THAT didnt' happen unless two to four RAP songs were played first.
It seems to be the KJ is playing what he wants to hear, not what the crowd listens to.
I can TELL YOU that Rock, Alternative and Country were actually missed here.
The inbetween songs need to reflect your clientele, not placate your KJ who doens't do a darned thing.
The place is gorgeous, it's clean, now get a KJ in there who CARES, tell the military where the heck you are and get some real music going!
Not sure if this bar EVER does bands, but they SHOULD!
Your cooks were having a blast, your wait staff ditto, BUT your customers were blah'd out and some even went to the back away from the RAP - one can only take so much Beastie Boys and Run DMC...
Even though I was SUPER pleased with how things went today I still cannot rate LW as a 5 star. Â Sorry. :)
BUT. Â I was VERY impressed today with my TAKE-OUT order! Â I called at 11:21am, was told it'd be ready by 11:31am and was out of there before 11:40am. Â
So WHY only 4 stars and not 5?
Because they charge a 50 cent fee for take-out orders! Â Dumb...
Anyway...
I ordered the Godfather. Â Delicious and huge. Â YUM! Â I got it without the olives and lettuce. Â Not a fan of veggies... Â But it was stupendous without those items! Â Not too much sauce, not too much bread, LOTS OF MEAT! Â Sinfully amazing... Â Plus I got tots! Â YUM! Â Crispy and tasty no sauce required!
Came with a pickle spear too!
$15 after the 50 cent fee, tax, and tip.
MY FIRST TIME PAYING FOR SOMETHING AT LW!! Â haha
Better customer service this time too. Â Super nice girls. Â Even the one who took my order on the phone was pleasant.
Thanks LW!
Been there a few times and the service is awesome and the food. large servings and good quality.
The only downfall is they reserve a large amount of tables for reservations 30-45 minutes before the party gets there and it is hard to find a empty table. The problem is the party gets there and they are late or only half the party shows up.
Great place! Â Try the Stupid hot wings! Â
Tons of tv's  some at every table.  LIke pull tabs? This is the place for you  they have more than any other bar I have been to.
From a full bar to burgers and wings this place rocks.
Wait staff is friendly and fun.  Become a regular get a pit pass  1000 points and you get a $50 gift card for future tabs.
Same remarks on food as I gave to the Tacoma location (thankfully, there's consistency in the kitchen):
Great wings by any standards. More than a simple soaking in Frank's Red Hot -- way more. The secret is a variety of fresh peppers chopped up and reduced before mixing with the traditional stuff. The wings are also cooked in a pressurized deep frier. Not spot on Buffalo style, but they hold their own. The Extra Hot wings are great for people who truly like spice but would also like to be able to taste their food (you'll still want water and you'll sweat and get tears). The Stupid Hot wings are appropriately named. If you need to prove how tough or cool you are, have fun. Great service too.
The only difference between the locations is this one is newer and does have a lot nicer atmosphere. I'm equally happy at both.
They are getting 4 STARS, because they serve the BEST HOT WINGS!!! When it comes to quality, quantity, and price nobody beats them. Then on Wednesday they have wings for .50 cents, which makes this place even better. I normally order my wings cooked well with salt and pepper (Vancouver BC style) with the sauce on the side, to avoid them from getting slimy. The waitress and cook work in unison, because my wings are brought to the table exactly how I ask them. Their mild, hot, and extra hot sauces are my staples. The big chunks of blue cheese added to their homemade dressing makes the addiction impossible to ever recover from. Shoot, even the celery sticks taste good and if you know a true wing lover, you know they hardly EVER eat the celery. Tater tots cooked extra crispy and the beverage of your choice are the best accoutrements!
The burgers, salads, and other what nots are good, especially if a daily special, but nothing beats the wings. The place is fairly new and working some kinks out, but I can overlook most things by the time the wings hit the table.
So I went here with a work friend the other day after he heard about this place and their burger challenge. We both like these crazy challenges and decided to go for it. It's called the "what were you thinking" burger. It's a 4+ pound burger consisting of 2 huge patties, onions and tomatoes between two grilled cheese sandwiches and about 2 pounds of jojos.
It took at least 30 minutes for our orders to come out and we waited patiently  watching various TV screens with different sports playing (There are like fifty screens in there playing anything from football to soccer). Our food came out and we started our challenge. Now the deal is if you can finish all your food in 45 minutes they'll put your name on the wall. I managed to do so but no one asked for my name ot mention anything about it. That was quite disappointing cause that's the main reason we went there in the first place. The burger was tasty and the jojos were great but I didn't really enjoy it that much trying to finish all that food so fast.
The server was nice and got us our refills and everything. It's a big sports bar with a couple of pool tables and other games in the back so if I go there again it'll probably be just to enjoy the game and eat a normal person's meal and not go through this crazy challenge (at least not here) again!
Impressed. Food is good, especially for a bar. Service was good also, although, like any other bar, when it get's busy, you'll be waiting for awhile for a drink. One of the owners came around and talked with us for a bit, nice guy, and made sure everything was going alright. And they got standard sized pool tables! I'll go there again for sure!
Review Source:Service was great!  My boyfriend and I shared the Jalapeño Cheddar stuffed burger and it was amazing!!  A little too messy for me but the flavor was worth it!!! Tots are great and homemade zesty sauce was great too. I was a little nervous about going on a Sunday with football on because other reviews said the service was not very great. We lucked out because our waitress was very attentive!  Would recommend this place to anyone!!!
Review Source:New spot to grab a bite, Â drink and watch the game.
First thing you see when you enter is that every table had its on flat screen.  There are a Tom of TVs here so that is good.  I went to the bar to order.  Ordered a jalapeño cheese infused burger (cheese/jalapeño). Mixed in with the meat.  The burger was really juicy,  but a little to sloppy for my taste.  It tasted great however.  I also had their deep fried pickles and this really was a treat.  I like pickles with a really crunchy crust and these pickles had that.  When I had went there they had just been open for a week, so I think I will go back once they have gotten into the flow.  Service was a little slow.
Anyways I think the loose wheel is a welcome establishment in Puyallup
I heard so much about how great the Loose wheel was that I decided to a chance and stop in for lunch. Armed with my lunch brunch partner we arrived at he location ready to enjoy a great meal. The place was just like a Sports Bar should be. The large screen TVs were on and the crowd was enjoying the their lunch. Â But that was not what happen to us. After sitting down at a table and I may say having to get our own menus, we found our self's lost in the black hole of outer space.. How one thing I give upset about is a restaurant that the servers or in this case the "pit crew" forget to notice that we were in the building. After waiting for over 10 minutes and watching the "pit crew" we said it's time to go! Â I would like to comment on the food and the service but we never got any....my suggestion to the new owners is maybe you need to hirer more help or try removing some of the tables.
Review Source:It's the Loose Wheel! But it isn't. It's like an episode of The Twilight Zone and I'm in the bizarro world version of the LW. It's a lot of the same positives from the original combined with some new positives unique to this location...
It's the new hotness in Puyallup at this point and it shows. It's bright, clean, new, shiny... it feels like a nicer, cleaner and more upscale sports bar version of the Tacoma LW. There's TONS of TVs playing all the most important sporting events. TVs are EVERYWHERE! There's plenty of seating and the required activities are on the backside of the bar (skeeball, pool, darts, etc) and they have the wall of pull tab type gambling funsies. The parking situation is greatly improved at this location too.
My burger was just how I ordered it and just how it would have been at the other LW. The fries were great and the servers were crazy nice and on top of keeping our beverages filled.
All in all it's a very nice establishment... but it's missing some of the ghetto charm of the Tacoma location. Really, for me, the Puyallup Loose Wheel would be some place I would come to grab a burger and watch a game or fight with friends (it's going to become the go to place for that I'm sure) but if I'm looking to hang out and have a good time with friends the Tacoma location just feels more like the spot to go.
I'm a fan!
